Words can't describe this jewel of a property bordering the national park and in the pristine Bamboo beach. With only 20 bungalows and 2 pools on the beach, you will find it hard to get a room here. Most guests come here regularly, book well in advance, and some for long stays. I can see why as the location is unique and the pricing reasonable for what you get. Clean spacious bungalows, great wifi, kind staff, and family run. They make a real effort to connect with their guests as they are there because of a love of what they do, not to extract more money from them. I could not have asked for a better way to end my holiday with 4 nights here at this unique hotel in Koh Lanta. I wish I had more time as I could have easily extended my stay a week. Btw, the breach is pristine and undeveloped and not crowded at all - a swim before breakfast guarantees the beach all to yourself. Thank you, June and all the staff who made me feel at home. And their lovely pets and love of animals made it all that more homey for me as I had missed my pets back home.

Could use some maintenance

lovely secluded beach surrounded by green hills, laid back and relaxed atmosphere, rustique but comfortable bungalows and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant and bar on beachside, perfect for watching ocean waves and sunsets.

There is a bar on the hotel only opens in the evening for the sunset. There are however lots of little restaurants on the beach where you can get a cool beer.

The beach outside the hotel was ideal. There were plenty of sun beds and shade from the trees. When we were staying there there was a strong wind blowing from east on some days making it not so pleasant to be on the beach. The hotel straddles the very north of Koh Phi Phi so you can walk to the other side of the hotel where it was completely shaded fro the wind. There is a nice pool on this side although the sea is not easily accessible from here.

There was nothing we didn’t love! The island resorts just opened back up after being closed for 2+ years from Covid-19. The resorts and communities all need time to rebuild and get back into a rhythm. We really appreciated how well-maintained the place and location proved to be. June thought of everything we needed! We never wanted to leave the property. We will be back!

Pristine beach-front property with (an included) very diverse breakfast selection, a delicious restaurant and bar, food presentation (husband loved it!), several pool options, volleyball court, bamboo beach chairs, free kayaks and snorkeling gear, lush green plants everywhere and masseuse staff on-sight. Very peaceful, international crowd provides wonderful conversations. The resort also helps foster animals at the local no-kill shelter. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Bathroom painted black, very dark decor. Bed on plinth which wasn’t practical. We were badly bitten in first room so moved to a better room but still dark .Had to pay directly for some of stay, not booking. com and therefore worked out to be expensive.

I absolutely loved the place from the very first moment I got there. The location is beautiful and peaceful. LaLaanta is the only resort at the Bamboo beach which is very luxurious. Loved my bungalow/hut that was facing the garden with sea view. There is a great selection of food on drinks in the restaurant and the food is delicious. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and made me feel very comfortable. This is a resort I definitely would like to come back to.

Restaurant was good but not amazing, the only feature that was slightly disappointing about the whole stay. It’s fairly remote so dining options are limited nearby. We stayed just a couple of nights so it was totally fine, it’s a very minor point.

Super friendly staff that were very welcoming and helpful. Pool was great and the location was just what we were looking for (somewhere quiet, relaxing with charm and activities). Room was very comfortable and clean. Beach was on the doorstep and was great for swimming.

Beautiful, well-maintained, calm and quiet resort on an amazing beach with clear water and pure nature. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, far from the busy tourist spots, in the forest in a national park. The bungalows are in the garden in the forest, arranged in a way that you don't feel crowded and have a lot of privacy. The bed is comfortable, there is a good pressure in the shower and the hot water is hot. Staff is doing an amazing job, they are friendly, fast, helpful and respectful, have an eye on detail, and work all the time to take care of their guests. You really feel welcome here.

A bit remote on island south end but with a scooter the resort rents, you can access all. Away from the traffic and commerce on the north island is a blessing

The stay at LaLaanta was an absolutely unique experencie. Located at beautiful and quiet beach and practically right in the jungle makes it the perfect place to relax outside the crowds. The staff does an incredible job at making you feel most welcomed. though we though before that 5 nights might be too long for such a remote location, next time we will come for longer. Food at the restaurant is very good as well. Totally recommend.

The only negative is that you are far from everything, so if you fancied a change of scenery it's quite difficult to get anywhere.

Absolutely loved this place. A bit far from the main town in Koh Lanta, but that means you have a semi-private beach, and to be honest you have everything you need at the resort. The staff are incredible, so so friendly, and the on site bar and restaurant has amazing food at very reasonable Thai prices. Oh also, I worked from here and the wifi was great. Would go back here in a heartbeat.

It was truly wonderful. A small resort with a few bungalows surrounded by a lot of green directly at the beach. It has a very nice pool. The beach is great for swimming. There is a spot without rocks, which makes it easy to enter the sea. The beach is very secluded. Everyone is very nice. The food at the restaurant was very good as well. We also liked the bungalow with garden view. It is not luxurious but comfortable and clean. You have to drive a scooter to go to other places on the Island, but for us it was not a problem. We can truly recommend it if you are looking for a secluded, quiet place!

We absolutely loved our stay. Lalanta is a little piece of paradise. The beach is super quiet and surrounded by the national park and beautiful scenery. The pool and bar areas are beautiful and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is fabulous. We had intended to go the old town and to busier areas of Koh Lanta for food and drinks but we never left. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, we were very sad to leave.
