Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The bungalows are beautiful, very comfortable, with nice hammocks and great AC. The personnel was really helpful - we booked the motorbike there, helped us with traveling to the next destination. You can hear some music around but they provide earplugs if you need but generally a very calm place. They have a beautiful restaurant which has a nice atmosphere. It was one of our best stays in Thailand.

I recently stayed five nights at Little Eden and could happily have stayed five weeks. It’s an old school Thai bungalow outfit, but with modern bathrooms, comfy beds and proper power points. The bungalows are super clean and set in lush gardens away from the noise of the main village but within walking distance of the beach. There is a lovely common area where you can eat delicious, home cooked food or just laze around and enjoy a cold beer. The service is friendly, and everything is incredible value for money. I can’t wait to visit again.

United KingdomNothing we didn't like about Little Eden, but if complete peace and quite at night is what you want then this may not be for you. I don't want this to sound as a negative for Little Eden as it's not, but be aware the music from Lonely Beach bars at night time can be heard clearly all night every night from about 10pm until around 5am, it didn't particularly bother us but it does get slightly annoying sitting on the balcony of an evening. Having said that we were there for a week so had time to really notice the nighttime music. Like I said not a negative for Little Eden at all as its out of their control but think it is worth mentioning.
Beautiful surroundings and lovely little huts with everything you need, owners and staff are great. Restaurant area is a really nice place to hang out and the food is genuinely amazing...the best green curry I've ever had! Good coffee too! We loved the laid back, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Scooter rental on site a bonus too almost essential to get around the island. We really enjoyed the week we spent here, thank you.

United KingdomThis was a really nice place to stay about 5 minutes walk from the Lonely Beach Main Street. The bungalows are comfortable and mossie nets are provided along with a fan. So basic, but more than fine for the price. The bathrooms are open walled at the top so it feels like you are showering outside which I like. It has a beautiful wooden bar restaurant area with plenty of tables and Thai mats and is a great place to hang out and relax. Dave the English owner, is a really friendly guy and we chatted a lot about the place and he gave us good tips on where to go and what to see. Lonely Beach has been hit quite hard by Covid and feels a little run down these days, but if you are visiting we can recommend Little Eden as a great place to stay.

NetherlandsIf you're looking for a beautiful yet down to earth location to stay with great staff and a very good restaurant, Little Eden has it all. I stayed here for a week in January. The bungalows have everything you need, even USB charge portals. I preferred the fan over airconditioning, it provides you with a nice breeze for good night's rests. Everything at Lonely Beach is available at very short distance, and if you want to discover the island, motorbike rental is available. David and Sun will take great care of any needs you might have, they are great hosts. My number one choice to return to on Koh Chang!

SwedenWe liked that is was a cosy place away from all the tourists at white sands. The Maneger is super helpfull and helpt us to rent scooters, booked a djungel trecking, snorkeling/fishing trip and also booked a taxi for us to Bankok. The coffee was also excellent! ThailandA softer bed would have been nice but honestly if you can’t adapt to hard mattresses you really shouldn’t be travelling in Asia.
Varied breakfast options that were well made. Espresso Coffee was very good. Both owner and manager were very helpful and accomodating. The Thatched roof bungalows were all I needed, basic and very rustic with attached bathroom, set in a very treed and green hillside.
