Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumThe bathroom was full of mold and the bedroom smelled the humidity. Even though we were not in the middle of the center, it was still noisy from the neighbours bedroom. The bedroom price was cheap so don’t expect a super nice room but still, I think it is a little bit expensive for what you get.

United KingdomEverything else was dirty. Mouldy ceilings, cobwebs ridden light shades. Door does not close fully nor do the windows. Shower had two settings, boiling or freezing. Walls are paper thin, every noise on the island can be heard.

NetherlandsTo start of the shower is directly above the toilet, this was not the worst because this is normal in Thailand. But it is not comfortable when the water does not flow away like it is supposed to in the disposal. In stead there was a hole in the ground but it was not the lowest point of the room so you see how that does not work? Then the airconditioning could only blow hot air so we had 3 horrible nights of sweats and nightmares. Then the worst part of it all. The pipes for gas and water were combined and both leaking, so not only was our room full of gass half of the time, the water was also leaking on the TL-Light that was underneath. So every 15 minutes we would hear a little explosion. The second day 2 of us had a shower and the third was taking his turn when all of a sudden there were about 30 explosions at the same time and the room filled with smoke. When we told the staff member, who was eating shirtless in the mainroom he did not seem to care too much, another guest told him about a leaking toilet and that seemed to be more important (than a literal fire???). After 30 minutes he came in the room with a roll of ductape and a pair of scissors. That was the whole solution, as if water AND gass do not both flow through little holes in the tape. Unfortunately we could not tell the staff about our dissatisfaction because of the lack of english they speak, so we could not ask for money back. All in all it was a horrible experience and it was not at all safe to stay here, we absolutely hated it and would not recommend anyone to come here if you value your life.

AustraliaWasn’t very clean, spilt water on the bed and heaps of dirt came up from the mattress. It also only had fan in the room so it got really hot, we didnt end up staying here. Was expected because it’s very cheap.
Good location, really friendly staff - can help you book day trips on boats for really good price.
