How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Everything! Stuff was very friendly, rooms were clean. They provided us with snacks everyday, clean towels for the beach and shower. Just perfect place to stay.

Shower did leak into the bathroom a few times but this was minor as we just popped a towel down. It is a little out the way if you don't plan on renting a motorbike but as we did, this was fine for us.
Staff were amazing, they picked us up for free from the pier, sorted our laundry out and motorbike rental and said we could sort all payment when we checked out! We arrived early morning and they sorted our room out for us as soon as they could! Room was spacious and clean. Pool area was also very clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The staff were amazing, they really are the highlight of this hotel, full of reccomendations and always smiling! They really make you feel welcome! The hotel was clean and really good value for money. It is in a quiet location but still plenty of places around for food, drinks and activities, so perfect!

My partner and I LOVED our experience staying at Mar24. The location was lovely - I was really happy to be out of the town center but still close enough to amazing eateries and beaches. The staff were kind and super helpful to our questions and requests. The pool was also a wonderful way to cool off after a day of exploring. There would be no other place I’d stay if ever back in Koh Tao. :) Thank you for everything!

The pool was somehow not convincing but who needs the pool when having all the amazing spots on the island.
Super friendly staff, free transport was arranged from and back to the pier. Comfortable and clean room, scooter rental available. More quiet and chilled area than Sairee Beach area, walking distance to beautiful beaches like Freedom and Shark Beach, also John Suvan Viewpoint near by.

Staff are very friendly and explained everything about the entire island as soon as I got there! They were very accommodating with all requests. The pool facilities were nice and they also had a shower that I could use even after checking out!

As a solo female traveler who had a longer stay, MAR24 was a place of safety and comfort for me. From the reviews you can see that the facility is great — it is! Beyond that, it was the details that showed a lot of care such as fresh towels and snacks outside our door every morning. Or getting a quick ride to the nearest ATM. I am so grateful to the staff for the warmth they shared. I will miss them and hope to come back in the future!

Shower door leaked water. Bum gun had too much pressure and bed was very hard. Loud AC.
Very friendly staff. Provided free pick up and drop off at the pier. Very warm welcome (fluffy dog 🐶❣️) with a lot of local recommendations. Convenient scooter rental WITHOUT deposit. Free drinking water dispenser.

the cleaning detergent has a VERY strong smell - but if you don’t want your room cleaned you can just place the basket in front of your door and get everything!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt like home. They organised different things like a snorkeling tour and the transport to another island. Everything worked very good. We rent a good scooter through the hotel. We loved they organisation with the clean up. They have a really good system if you don't need a complete clean up you will receive a basket with all the things you need (toilet paper, coffee, towels...). We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Location is a little bit away from the pier but not an issue if you’re happy to walk. Close to some nice beaches/bays :)
We had a lovely stay here. Our room was always cleaned when requested and always had fresh towels and complimentary snacks left at the door. Staff were so kind and helpful, the man on reception even made us a homemade curry after speaking about it! The staff also gave us lots of recommendations around the island and helped us book onward travel.

I slept in a single room and the only thing - if I have to come up with something - is that window that is not see through anymore but there is no curtain. In the morning it lights up the room early and it can wake you up. A curtain will prevent this. But overall: a perfect stay!
Superfriendly people who will help you with everything! Great location. Room had everything you needed. Bed was comfy, shower was great.

Some equipment in the bathroom might be in a better shape, but it is nothing disturbing.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel most thanks to a great hospitality of the staff. They are all super kind, helpful and make your stay very comfortable! The room is very clean, small snacks everyday were nice to get. Definitely recommend to choose MAR24 when staying at Koh Tao! Thank you!
