The facilities were aged and in dire need of renovation. We definitely payed for the location not for the facilities and rooms. The breakfast is overpriced and has very limited set options.

The wifi was terrible. Many people work while travelling so this is important. We had some business to do online and had to go elsewhere to get good wifi coverage. I hope they will resolve this as other places we've stayed at on the island had good wifi.

This is a lovely little resort on a beautiful beach. The view bungalows was spacious with a nice deck. This is not a party area so evenings were quiet.

Sure, there were a few hiccups with communication and how things work, but we just chalked it up to cultural quirks. No biggie. Only downside was the scooter rental being a bit pricier than at the pier, but hey, it's all good. Overall, awesome vibes, beautiful location, and we left with big smiles.

Had a fab time at Marina Resort on Koh Phayam Island! The place is bang on the beach – couldn't ask for a better spot. The cottages were dead cosy, and we had loads of cool beachside restaurants and bars nearby. The resort's in the chill part of the island, so it's mega peaceful. Everything was spick and span, and the staff were dead friendly. Plus, there's this English lad who helped us out with talking to the local crew – made life a breeze.

Wifi was terrible, almost non working. We expected some issues considering it’s an island but on all other places it was decent (even across the street). So if you need wifi for work, don’t count on it.

I think the Thai management and staff might have to pick up a bit more awareness in treating customers. We got a few mistakes without an apology, few situations where we had no idea what was happening and waited for no reason, but seemed we were “the hassle”. The wifi also should be something to be fixed as it works well all over the island and on the beach front also with a Thai sim (we had DTAC Tourist)

We got the deluxe AC garden view room and was excellent. Super quiet, clean, hot shower, but zero wifi The location is perfect, restaurant/bar with sea view, they have lounges on the beach, Thai mat on an elevated platform. Honestly we loved every minute there

these are the reasons this was not a solid ten: - there was a lot of loud construction work during the first 2-3 days of our stay. - during our last full day a huge group (20-30 people) of Chinese arrived and flooded the complete Resort. There were maybe 10 guests in total before. Since they arrived it was really loud. They started to run and scream around the resort the next morning at around 6 in the morning.

Amy and the whole Staff were awesome and helped us in so man ways (Pick Up from pier, renting Motorbikes, transfer Back to pier and further to Khao Lak). The Beach is great, the Resort and the Deluxe Bungalows as well. Only thing you could miss would be a fridge - but with energy being Sometimes complicated on the Island this is fine. The Sunset here are the best in Thailand.

The owner berated us for taking a shuttle from the landing dock she didn’t send. Unprofessional. Food orders at the restaurant were often confused and disorganized. The power was cut from the island, but restored 2 hours later, but no staff noticed our bungalow had no power until we were forced to search out a staffer to reset our power breakers—although we were within eyesight of the office. Negligent.

Our bungalow was very conveniently located near the beach and restaurant. The staff were pleasant but didn’t speak Thai so my partner was often confused about the menu options.

Everything was fine but unfortunately the bungalows were sold out and I had to sleep in a tent which I did not like. But I cannot complain, it was an offer, and I accepted it.

Sun loungers at the beach would have been nice. To reduce plastic we missed a public water refill station for resort guests. But if you ask the staff they refill your water bottles what we did.

Beautiful beach, the water is perfect for swimming, kajaks of the resort are free of charge, SUP can be borrowed but you have to pay for it, amazing beach/ocean view, beautiful sunsets, good location, close to restaurants at the beach and to the hippie bar, quiet place, the room was big clean and comfortable with a nice balcony (we had a very good sleep), the staff was very friendly and helpful, we had our own water bottles which we could refill every day, motorbike renting at the resort, Amy the owner organized transfers for us (taxi to the port, speed boat to Ranong, taxi to the airport) - everything went perfect. We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the resort and enjoyed it a lot. We definitely recommend this place!

Not a friendly manager.dont make ferry booking via resort sort it yourself if you want to avoid unpleasant disappointment.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The manager helps you to organize trips and arranges bike rent. You can borrow beach towels, kayak and floating donuts for free. The resort is located in a beautiful and quiet bay. The sunsets are spectacular. You will be served a welcome drink on your arrival.

Nothing - I'd stay for months given the chance!

Everything - staff are excellent, there's nothing Amy doesn't know or can't sort ! Rooms (ours was sea-view) are large, beautiful, spotlessly clean, air-conditioned and with spacious bathrooms and hot shower. Lovely private outdoor seating area. Beautiful clean beach with chairs and loungers. Great food and reasonably priced bit also easy walking distance to other bars, restaurants and the iconic Hippie Bar.

We spend two and half week on this spectacular resort. Hosts Amy and Matt and their staff made our experience in Thailand the most memorable. They have numerous delicacies and coctails on their restraunt menu that you can enjoy while watching the gorgeus sunset. You can also have for example delicious mango lassies and different coffees from the restaurant! We loved caramel macchiato :) A big plus was that the chefs were able to prepare dishes suitable for vegetarians/vegans and also took into account allergies. The bungalow we stayed was modern, clean, spacious, attractive and filled all our needs. The bed was excellent. They also rented a scooter for us and let us use kayaks for free. The beach is very good and peaceful. Overall the place and service was like a five-star hotel but on an island. Marina's people will help you with all their knowledge and heart!

Fantastic few days on Koh Phyam in Marina Resort. We booked 2 bungalows with AC and seew view and those were fully in line with description. Bungaows were very clean and well kept and we highly recommend Marina to other guests. Also hotel restaurant is very good and clean. All dishes we ordered were fresh made and tasty. The biggest advantage was however support we received from our host - Amy. She helped us to arrange transfer from Khao Sok and ferry to Koh Phayam in very competitive price. During our stay entire staff of Marina Resort was top helpfull, always smiling and willing to make our stay unique. Thank you very much, we highly appreciate it.
