Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsBe aware the staff here doesn't speak any English. You will need Google translate. There's also no one at the hotel at night, which can feel a bit weird especially given the location of the hotel, which is a bit remote.
Very nice hotel but like a lot of people said: it really needs some work. This place could be a true jewel on Koh Lanta if they renovate the entire resort. The rooms are nice and spacious, beds comfortable and the pool is quite nice as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomRoom cleaning wasn't done daily, probably something to look into by the owner, as the room gets a little sandy after being on the beach. Rooms look a little tired and linen and towels need updating. Shame the bungalows, restaurant and beach bar were not available at this time, as would definitely stay in one of the amazing beach bungalows, with jacuzzi on the balcony and sea views.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient for exploring the island. Hired scooters through the hotel which made our stay ever more enjoyable. Drinking water replenished every day and no extra charge.

United KingdomNo breakfast/food facility on site but a linked cafe next door, 1 minute walk away. Short staffed, means the poor lady at reception has a million jobs to do. You probably need to hire a scooter whilst here.
Beautiful, peaceful location, away from the busy noise but easily accessible. Nice pool to relax at. Comfortable, big rooms with good facilities. Lovely lady on reception who was very helpful and arranged taxis, scooters, etc for us.

GermanyIt seems after Covid a lot of shops are more far away. Still, it is under construction and probably will get much better in the next season! :)
Great Staff and clean and modern hotel. The staff even helped us in finding great medical care for an emergency. Thanks a lot! So overall great experience and we can really recommend a great breakfast place (auntie Mae) 10 minutes into the city and a great restaurant 3 minutes in the other direction (coconut). overall we think It was also from the location great as a starting point on the island if you are comfortable with taking a bike or taxis.

GermanyThe room was very large, well equipped and clean. The location of the hotel is also very good. By scooter (300 Bath per day) you can reach the beach in a few minutes, within 30 minutes you are in the south or within 20 minutes in the east of the island. Nice restaurants are also nearby. The hotel has a small beach as well as a saltwater pool.

NetherlandsThe open part of the hotel needs some small renovations. We hope that the remaining part can one day be restored as well!
The room with a pool access is amazing. You get a lovely view on the river and can jump in the pool first thing in the morning. We really loved the location as it was quiet and peaceful but had plenty to do nearby (including a lovely cafe for breakfast, a great cocktail bar where you can watch sunset and an amazing seafood restaurant). This is all to the left when you exit the hotel. if you want to go any further on the island (and you should) you can rent a scooter directly through the hotel which makes it much easier as well. Overall we really loved our stay there!

United KingdomThe owner is really letting this place down and I’d be concerned the longer they leave it like this, the more they will get poor reviews and ruin the reputation of the resort. The beach bar, 2nd swimming pool, gym, restaurants and villas are all not in use and are in need of attention. The longer they are all left the more attention they will need, this costing more to get back up and running. I’d have loved to have seen this place before it got let go. The grounds are all slightly overgrown which I assume is because the staff (or lack of) don’t have time to get to it, the shower area by the pool and many other places are very overgrown. If everything got back to how it should be with this resort, the ONLY thing that could get a lower score is how far away it is from everything but on the flip side, if the restaurant reopens, you shouldn’t need to leave the hotel for much else. The nearest shop for anything is a 15/20 minute walk and there’s no streetlights or pavements which I know the hotel can’t help but they should get onto whoever is responsible because it’s not really save walking at night. I feel sorry for the remaining staff because they are lovely and will do their best to help and speak good English.
Rooms are nice and big, bed was comfy, nice large balcony, clean, good shower, modern. Honestly can’t complain about anything except for the upsetting side of how half of the resort is closed down. The staff are a credit to the hotel. It’s a shame because you can really tell this place thrived pre-Covid. It seems there’s only 3 members of staff now from what we saw which are doing everything which isn’t enough.

United KingdomI stayed here before the pandemic when it was soooo lovely, with 2 pools, hillside villas, lovely restaurant, beach bar with dj…just perfect! So I was gutted when we arrived and discovered the restaurant, bar, gym etc were all completely closed up and derelict. Such a shame! Another victim of Covid, I assume. I really hope they can recover and restore the facilities to their former glory. Price reflected the reduced facilities, so it was fair in that respect.
Lovely room, swim-up, clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast next door in Shoom.

PolandThe stanalone hotel is a little part of a big resort. Only the hotel is possible to rent, rest is closed or in ruin. Missing beach bar. The beach itself is small and quite rocky... Restaurant is quite expensive and not able to prepare food on time. It is also not flexible: you have to select a breakfast the day before the breakfast. Looks like a result of covid times but dosent work well and can irritate
Very nice hotel with modern and clean rooms. Good colaboration with local tourist office.

PortugalIt doesn't mean that I didn't like but the breakfast could be improved. They have 6 different options but the portions are small.
The hotel is quite nice and the receptionist is amazing. We got a big room with a pool view. Part of the hotel is closed: gym, library, restaurant, etc. Altough, you can pass by them to reach the private beach. They provided a motorbike (300B) and helped us to book the 4 Islands Tour (1000B.) We really enjoyed our stay (6 days). There is a good restaurant nearby (Shanti Shanti) - it's more expensive but the food is great! Thank you Pen/Pan :)
