Great hotel, lovely decorated, big green area with a lot of attention to details. Nice pool area with easy access to the beach (via stairs). The hotel is big but there were always enough sun beds available and it was quiet at the beach facing sunbed area. The breakfast was good, the villas beautiful with an outdoor shower and huge rooms. The location was also perfect. Within a few steps, you have plenty of restaurants, bars, shops, night market, massage places and there are plenty of them.

Excellent experience this Christmas! In fact we extended our stay. Facilities and attention 5 stars. next to a fantastic beach, with clean pools, as well as dining rooms, rooms. We had a small incident unrelated to the hotel and the manager helped us and gave us exquisite attention. 100% recommendable. We will repeat without a doubt

Breakfast buffet was good but could do with more variety. The bar area next to the sea could be so much nicer and a great opportunity if more is made of it

This was the most we paid for any hotel in Thailand but it was not the nicest. When we checked in, our room was incredibly hot and humid — an awful sauna on a very hot day. The AC isn’t powerful and you can’t leave it on when you leave the room (they’ll fine you!), so we had to sit and suffer in a very hot room for a long time before it even became reasonably comfortable. Ugh. The bathroom never really cooled off — the AC wasn’t powerful enough to cool that space. Some of the common areas of the resort feel neglected. The pool house & fitness center bathrooms are clean but seem forgotten: no soap or towels, no place to sit or place your stuff while changing, open doors that lack privacy for men’s vs women’s, etc. We asked for a map of the resort since it is so big and amenities are spread out, but they don’t have one; not a deal-breaker, but we thought that a bit odd. Since this was the most we paid in Thailand, I expected more of a splurge experience. It was okay (breakfast was a treat that made up for other shortcomings), but think I’d look somewhere else for that amount of $$.

Huge resort nicely located within Khao Lak. Room with balcony was spacious, private, and well constructed (couldn’t see or hear neighbors). Breakfast buffet with egg station and coffee service was the best we had anywhere in Thailand. Nice big pool with swim-up bar. Bell hop and breakfast coffee service staff were excellent.

The variety at breakfast could be better and a renovation of the rooms/showers would be nice.

Due to an electricity problem we could not use our two villas - exactely on the 31st of December. We had to move to normal double rooms. It was not so fine that there was no reduction in price for that night.

Breakfast was ordinary, restaurant faculty needs to be better decorated and presented. TV in room was not a smart TV and was not linked to the internet. The resort needs some upgrades and improvements.

Location, we liked the semi villa we stayed in, the resort was clean, well presented and nice vegetation landscape.

Nothing much, the property could do with refurbishing particular in the bathrooms, not great towels for instance for the price you pay.

All staff were brilliant, we’re so attentive throughout our stay, all pools nicely kept. Food a good standard & drinks decently priced.

The pool is filthy the cleaning implements are for a paddling pool, if your first in there's an array of dead flylife on the water and you can see a scum on the surface. The tiles on the edge of the pool are covered in a layer of grime and the hand rails on the steps to get out are covered in oh I dread to think. The sunbeds are never cleaned still had the same bird crap stains on them as when we arrived, we had 11 days here. If they just smartened the pool area up it would be lovely.

The rooms are quite dark. The biggest issue we had with this resort was the customer service. We were a family of 5 and our booking was for 5 people. When reviewing their child policies it said that there was an additional charge for an extra bed for children 12+. Our child was under 12 but they still expected the extra money for the extra bed or that our almost 11 year old sleep with us. The policy should be explicit about this and shouldn’t reference 12+. The additional cost may have led us to book a different resort. Once the bed was brought after a lot of back and forth, it was simply a mattress put on the floor. The hotel also didn’t give us towels for 5 people despite the reservation being for 5. This 3 day resort stay was supposed to be a relaxing break in a longer adventure but we found this quite frustrating and should not have been an issue at a resort where we had two bungalows booked during peak season for peak pricing.

The beach is gorgeous and the pools are great. The rooms and outdoor showers were great too.

Access to the beach was via steps, there are three separate sets along the beach, the lower steps of the closer set were washed daily by the tide which meant they could be slippery and care is needed. The other sets were fine.

We stayed at the hotel for 14 nights as we particularly liked the accommodation, it was ideally located and very spacious. The Hotel has a quiet vibe with ample space, great swimming pools and friendly efficient staff. An excellent location within easy access to local bars and restaurants if you chose not to eat at the Hotel. The beach is lovely and ideal for a morning walk in the surf.

I booked Mukdara for the nights before going on liveaboard diving. The property is superb, rooms are comfortable, clean and exceeded my expectations. Location is amazing, right on the beach and walking distance to all the pubs and restaurants in the area.

Not so much didn’t like, the room just appeared quite dark, even with lights on.

Very spacious rooms, and very relaxed environment. Staff were very attentive.
