Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicKey lock is old fashioned, would be changed soon for cards.
Alan and Nids are exciting hosts. They can guide you through wishes and needs during your stay. The facility has some years, but has a lot of treess and shadows. Kindness and humanity is the first. Highly appreciated. Th elocation is like 1 km from beach. But Chewang today is noisy and dirty place with tractors on the beach!!!! Mainly during sunset period. Shocking for me. Than Nids bungalows facility is the oasis of the silent and peace. You can find and can get all here. Just ask.

United KingdomThe road leading up to the hotel is very dark at night with a few dogs barking. Ignore dogs and keep walking , you'll be fine. Best to get a taxi back at night. The rooster could go on a bit in the morning but so can my wife...
I liked the area inside the complex. A bit scary walking to the hotel at night because it's a bit rural with a few dogs barking behind you but just walk on and ignore the dogs and no problem. Safe once you're in the actaual hotel area. Friendly animals like cats, dogs, ducks and chickens walking around. Quirky chickens in a tree, laying eggs in the tree. Nice pool with a lot of shade from the hot sun. Breakfast was suberb for only 150 baht. Friendly staff treat you like family We were on first name terms from day one

Great location & on site facilities like a pool, laundry services, and great value breakfast which we had a few times! Lovely staff & owners too. Great place to stay on Koh Samui & close to lots of bars, restaurants etc. also some dogs, cats, chickens & ducks which we loved!

United KingdomThe price. Good value. Breakfast for 100bht was very competitive Scooter hire for 200bht a day is still 50/100bht cheaper than any other place i found in samui. Cant complain. Place certainly has its quirks. But as someone who's travelled asia extensively wasnt anything i wasnt used to. Laundry service for 50bht per kilo.

ThailandI wasn’t able to get a full night of good sleep. There are dogs barking at night every time someone arives. There are roosters running around everywhere between the bungalows. Every night at around 04:00 they make A LOT of noice, right in front of your door. The animals run around everywhere but I didnt see them on any of the pictures. Also in the 3 days we were there we got spiders, lizards and a big worm thing in our room. Even though we kept everything we could closed.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, cheap motor rental and laundry.

South AfricaThe pool was a bit dirty, though it seemed that a sincere attempt was made to remedy this when we spoke to Allan about it. Allan, clearly very knowledgeable on the subject, did explain the trouble & expenses involved in keeping a large pool perfectly clear in a tropical climate. That being said, we swam in the pool every day of our stay. The location of the entry point of the accommodation is a bit out of the way (off the beaten track) which could be a problem for some.
As we thoroughly vetted the property description and reviews, we were aware of some of the gripes that others had, namely the dirt road entry point and the animals on the property. Happy to report that both were not a very big deal. We enjoyed the animals and the dirt road could be easily traversed with a car/scooter. Furthermore, it was a comfortable 5 min walk (at most). We found Nid, Alan and their staff to be friendly, accommodating and helpful. We stayed in the three rooms near reception (not in the actual bungalows) and they were large, clean, comfortable and had reliable aircon, wifi and TV. We also enjoyed the breakfast special which we found to be good value for money (although my family has requested that I suggest adding bacon to it). As it is close to bars/clubs you could hear loud music at night, although it was muffled once in the room with the doors closed. I should mention we also stayed over new years and our sleep was only disturbed by fireworks at midnight on 1 January. The 'noise'of the animals did not bother us one bit. Special shout out to the staff for very gently removing a rain spider which had made its way into the room.

AustraliaThe property was close to everything but tucked away in a private location. The room was extremely clean and cleaned everyday I was there.....always fresh towels and my bed was made, floor was cleaned daily too. Nid and Alan were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I had an enjoyable stay. Nid's cooked breakfast was delicious and I looked forward to it every morning.... I could book, any day tours, the boat to Koh Phangan and anything else I needed was taken care of by Nid and Alan. There is a laundry service too and my clothes came back perfect. I was able to hire a scooter as well, which was very convenient. I loved the pool and it was so nice to swim in during the evening too.... I highly recommend Nids Bungalows.

ItalyCucarachas, Cockroaches, Blatte. Of three nights booked after the first night I ran away. bungalows rotted by time where dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and the rooster that starts to crow at five in the morning bivouac in front. Inside the bungalow where the bed fits and little more I had to share the night with at least one cockroach. In the morning I reported what had happened to the presumably English owner and he replied with disappointment "it's normal we are in a tropical country". I asked for the money back for the additional two days I would have had to stay but the owner refused to give me the money back. in conclusion, a place to absolutely avoid.
