Numpu Baandin is one of those gems that are a gift to find. As a couple we were travelling from Bangkok to Phuket. We took a mini-van from bangkok to Pranburi and were first surprised as Pranburi is far from touristic and we were struggling to find our way. We stranded at the Lotus shopping centre, to contact the host, who was responding immediately. Numpu Baandin has lovely bungalows for a more than fair price. Khak, the owner, let us use the bike for free (usually you can rent them), to grab some dinner, for we arrived quite late. Furthermore the staff is super friendly and the location is astounding. Near the beach the resorts felt like a letdown in comparison. Long story short: it felt like home.

The location and surroundings are amazing (lake, mountains, countryside). The owner went above and beyond to help out and give informations, he and his wife are absolutely lovely. You can rent bikes.

A longer stay!

Wonderful! We’ve been before, 5 years previously. Excellent for birdwatching, cycling or just walking around. The staff are wonderful, very kind and helpful. We stayed for five nights in a very comfortable room The bus ride back to Bangkok was arranged by the owner as well.

That the kitchen was open as without transport you are a little stuck…

Defiantly need transport in this location especially as the kitchen is shut but the owner went & got our food for us both nights as was too far to walk in the heat, he did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable …

the place was good for a camp side with a fully furnished bedroom simple but enough for a traveler and a bathroom there was a porch in front of my room that sat there beautifully I relaxed with beer there in the evening and early morning having my coffee and can do some work too if you are a nomad it is just perfect atmosphere wow. The owner was good and very welcoming it is a countryside setup so no pubs close by but a 10min taxi will get you there to the beach restaurant pubs ETC

This place is just gorgeous! I loved walking the dock at night. You are surrounded by the sounds of nature and the sunrise was so absolutely incredible!! They have mosquito nets over the bed but i didn’t even use mine and wasn’t bitten. I was shocked that the WiFi worked inside the bungalows!! High tech bungalow living! 😂 Also the owners are so nice!!

It was away from the main tourist strip, so quiet and relaxing, but only 1.5-2 km away. Bathroom was in a separate building, but didn't matter. Absolutely beautiful views of the mountains. They have bikes and mountain bikes for hire and were good quality and cheap. They said they had acooters available, but I wasn't interested. They are also great at helping with ongoing transport, etc.

We rented the bicycles all day and they worked fine, but they could use a little maintenance (brakes and some crooked pedals on some). And this is actually more the National Park Services issue than theirs: the hours or closure of the nearby parks are a roll of the dice. What Google Maps says is open may not be, and there's no number the Numpu Bandin or visitors could call to confirm. They had information on one National Park attraction being closed for renovation, but it might be worth it for them to try and confirm as frequently as possible, what is and isn't open, however they can.

The property is very peaceful, the owners and staff were so lovely. It's under 2km to the beach which has a cyclable boardwalk. The beach itself doesn't have any frills or Instagram attractions, so for people looking for a nice place with good options for low-budget things to do, this is great. We don't speak Thai and their English isn't perfect, but if you're willing to work through communication barriers, they can give you the information you need. We're fine with a simple breakfast, and they brought us some mango that they had grown, which was a nice treat after the congee! Our first day was cycling all day up and down the seaside. Our second, as we requested, they arranged an all day taxi to take us around some of the national park attractions. On our third day, on our request, they dropped us off, with the bicycles in the back of the truck, at a beach further north so we could cycle back down leisurely along the seaside and past the nearby farms. It was a really relaxing, active holiday.
