The stairs back to from the beach can be tiring so if you don’t like stairs or have mobility issues it can be hard.

Me and my fiancé really liked the place. The view from our room is so beautiful. The staff and the owner were very friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was really delicious and you have a lot of options to choose from! My fiancé is a picky eater and we survived not going around much around for places to eat as the hotel’s restaurant had a lot of options. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The hotel also had stairs going down to the beach so you can enjoy going back and forth to the beach anytime although not recommended if you have mobility issues. The pool was also okay and there was dart boards and ping pong tables to entertain you nearby.

Cleaning was not acceptable. The room had ants and small insects. Regarding the location of the hotel, it should be said that the purpose of the trip is very important, because if you stay for relaxation and swimming like we did, it is great, but it is difficult to get around from the city center and Patong, because taxis are difficult to accept. In the end, I think the price is a bit high for the facilities of the hotel because the hotel is old and not very clean, the only strong point is the beautiful view of Kron Beach

Everything was fabulous… no complaints considering the cost. Any issues we had were quickly solved by the lovely staff.

We loved the view, the staff, the food and the spacious room with good working aircon. The balcony was fabulous and did I mention the view!?

Fantastic location and views! Very friendly staff & owners. We had a great time sitting by the pool overlooking the entire bay. It was a short walk down to the beach - though quite some steps. Not a problem if you know this in advance

Family hotel with very friendly staff. Nice restaurant with beautiful view. Rooms were clean with fridge, kettle and TV. Bathroom with shower. I don't recommend to people who are not moveable. There are a lot of stairs averywhere. Beach is nice and under hotel there are few people.

After staying at a hotel costing three times the price on our first night - and being very disappointed - we moved to On the Hill. What a bargain! Situated at the very north end of Karon beach it is literally On the Hill and maybe not suitable for the infirm - lots of steps to climb. But the walk down to the beach and back is great exercise and the beach itself is wonderful - crystal clear water and fine golden sand. We had ample (free) water, toiletries, hair dryer, but no tea or coffee. But at the price you can't complain. Will definitely come again.

No complaints only compliments

The location with super views and access to Karon Beach (10 minutes walk). All the staff at this family run hotel were super friendly and attentive to our requests. The bedroom / bathroom was a good size with a lovely sea view balcony. The swimming pool was nice but could do with some new umbrellas and seat cushions!! The breakfast was great. Scooter hire from the hotel was very useful. The family owners and the staff were wonderful. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend this hotel.

Nothing they satisfied all my expectations to a high standard.

It was wonderful, the location and the staff so lovely and helpful. family run and the daughter couldn’t do enough for you. The view from my room made you want to stay in it all day and night! The restaurant food was excellent and good value.I would recommend to come here and on my travels I would again.

Very friendly Family run hotel, no issues with their friendliness but rooms were tired and dated. Should be marketed as eco shacks for fit back packers under 30 as the site was very steep with many steps.

The hotel is in a wonderful location, the owners and staff are helpful, always willing to do everything to make your stay great.Breakfast and coffee are delicious, the view from the restaurant overlooking ice cocktails made by Ma Meaw is unreal.The pool and its area are great with a view of the beach.Our vacation was wonderful choosing this family hotel and we will return to it again next year.The steps to and from the beach are not a problem for us, because we knew about it when choosing the hotel.The food is amazing, eat healthy.Thanks Nu,Jo and Ma Meaw for a wonderful holiday and see you soon.

The bathrooms are really dated and in need of modernisation Some rooms do not have enough storage/draws (fine for backpackers) but need more for longer stays (we did get a small shelf unit brought to our rooms when raised) The property is set in stages on the hillside so lots of steps, we counted 250 from beach to top restaurant, not for anyone with mobility issues but worth it for the amazing views

The room and resort are not being maintained adequately. Uncomfortable bed, TV remote not working, shower drain blocked, no tea & coffee provided. Too many steps make it difficult to move around the hotel areas.

Our Seaview room provided a stunning view of Karon Beach.
