Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe pool water temperature was extremely hot, it was impossible to use it Breakfast was a bit boring.
The best thing about the hotel is location, close proximity to everything. Bed was very comfortable. Staff is very nice, leaving the bday cake as a surprise was a very nice touch 🙂

United KingdomThere are many small trip points around the hotel - watch out if you are not too steady on your feet. The door arrangement in the bathroom area does not provide any sound privacy to the toilet.
Pakasai is a resort with real eco credentials and a sensitivity to its environment. Rooms are large and comfortable and the gardens are beautiful. It is a short walk to the beach, either Ao Nang in one direction or a quieter area in the other. We even saw monkeys swinging around in the trees by the pool. Breakfast is good quality and served in a lovely jungle area by a pond. There are even tandem bikes to borrow,

United KingdomDespite advertising that tea and coffee making facilities were in the room . They weren’t. There was a kettle and cups and a couple of teabags. When we asked for coffee we were told it was a green hotel and not supplied. The coffee with breakfast was ok though. The stairs didn’t appear to be cleaned once during our week stay!
The hotel was in a great location and the staff were really lovely . The pool area was great and everyone incredibly helpful. Perfect location to explore the area. It was fantastic watching the monkeys play in the trees above the pool area.

Polanda lot of mosquitos in 1st floor apartments - guests need to put card inside a pocket to use the electricity which makes it impossible to use anti mosquito electronic devices; our room was a little bit smaller than we expected
amazing breakfasts, helpful personnel, very nice swimming pool, perfect location of entire resort - made our stay wonderful in that place

United KingdomThe rooms were big and spacious but just a little tired also our room was near the top of the resort so lots of steps to climb at the end of the day.
Very close to the centre but remained quiet at night. The breakfast was great lots to choose from and the staff were very helpful.

United KingdomRoom was located very far away from pool/ restaurant and involved 120+ steps. A word of warning or resort map when booking rooms would have been useful. Room cleaning was not consistent with some days the room being cleaned at 10 am and others 6pm which was difficult to plan getting ready around. Swimming pool was quite shallow and very warm making it difficult to find relief from the heat.
We stayed at Pakasai for 10 nights in April. Location was excellent with shops, beach and bars all within a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was excellent value with great choices every morning. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Hong KongUnfortunately our room was directly next to the main road so was very noisy from early in the morning and woke us up. Rooms further in would probably not have this issue. Would not recommend the bath on the balcony as there are too many mosquitos to use it and there is very loud traffic noise
Lovely pool, wonderful staff and a nice spa. Good location as a quick walk to the Main Street. Great breakfast.

GermanyThe rooms were not as clean as you would expect at a 4 star hotel. The towels were stained and so were the curtains. The daily cleaning was also not great. Sometimes at breakfast the plates and the coffee cups were not washed properly. There were termites inside the wood furniture.

United KingdomThere was a wooden shelf around our bed that my shins didn't appreciate. The water in the swimming pool was too warm for a decent swim ( I went in mid-March so perhaps not surprising.
Well located in a quieter part of Ao Nang, with beautiful gardens and a large swimming pool.

AustraliaNo coffee in our room - couldn't even get sachets of instant coffee! . When we called reception to ask, they stated that they only supplied tea. This is not really acceptable as most hotels/resorts now supply coffee machines or at least instant coffee. Our room was often stinking hot as we couldn't have any fan or air-conditioning running when we weren't in the room.
We loved the smaller, less crowded feel of the resort. The location was perfect for us at the quieter end of Ao Nang, with access to Ao Nang beach only 5 minutes walk away. Many restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was nice.

BelgiumIt would have been nice if there would be some cheese, salami, nutella... for the breakfast. The bread was good but the little pastries were quiet dry. I do like freshwater more in a swimming pool in stead of salt water but that's personal. In general the hotel was quiet expensive during our stay. For exemple the spa, the bar next to the hotel... Comparing these prices to the prices in Thailand in general, it was to expensive for us. The swimming pool, the spa and the fitness are opened untill 7-8 PM which is good but it would have been nice of we could use these facilities untill 9 or 10 PM.
I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. They even brought our suitcases to our room without asking this. The breakfast was really good, the buffet was big and the hot dishes were hot so this was great. The swimming pool was incredible: very big with enough sunbeds next to it. The bar next to the swimming pool was nice as well. We really liked it that we had the chance to shower close to the swimming pool the day that we left the hotel. We couldn't shower at our room anymore because of the check-out so it was nice that we had the chance to shower before leaving to the airport.
