The host provided an excellent stay. A small problem was quickly resolved. You could easily book a taxi or rent scooters from Sébastien. Sébastien even got up at 4:30 am to make sure we didn't miss our taxi. Good service.

It’s location is but further away from restaurants, 7/11 and like party, but it’s good if you want to get away and enjoy tranquility.

The owner is super friendly, he helped us out so much and kept checking up on us. We felt really comfortable!

We loved our stay at Papillon bungalows!!Sebastien was lovely with us: he ensured we were always okay and always had everything we needed, he gave us good recommendations on restaurants and parties to go and even lended us some snorkeling equipment. Our stay was just amazing and waking up on your own calm and “private” beach is just priceless. We made friends with people in the other bungalows and it just felt like a little family, I just couldn’t recommend this place more.

I think because we were staying during full moon that the bungalows may have been booked up. this meant that the generators really struggled with the electricity, meaning our first 2 nights the aircon wasn’t really working and the lights and shower kept flickering on and off. The moped rental company the staff brought us to had the worst mopeds we had rented in Thailand. We left it back and got a better/nearly new one for the same price at a nearby vendor.

Right on the beach it was like paradise! the staff where really helpful and took us to rent a moped. The owner wasn’t present but he was contactable by whaatsapp the entire time which was lovely!

It's not that we did not like it, but you require some sort of transport to have access to restaurants etc. With a scooter you have plenty of choices in the surroundings

The location is remote, so scooter hire is essential (Sebastian makes the process seamless). The beach isn’t really a swimming beach, but that didn’t bother us as we went swimming elsewhere at waterfalls and other beaches.

The location was secluded and felt like we had our own piece of paradise. The owner Sebastian really looked after us and made us feel comfortable, as did his friendly dogs (pro tip buy them treats and they’ll love you forever).

beach not the cleanest, some issues with ants in the room and insects. Take note that there is no separate toilet/shower within the room. shower (warm only) and loo is separated by a half wall only….was not great for me personally but some couples may not mind. Bed not the best comfort wise but clean bedding and ok for a night or two.

very friendly and helpful hosts. since you need a motorbike anyways, it is no problem that the beach isn't the nicest on Pha-ngan. Wifi is good and it's remote enough so it is very quiet, no street noise either, too far away from the main road.

Amazing place as always the owner Sébastien is very nice and give some good advice around. We definitely come back by the end of the month. Bungalows are super clean, view from the bed is stunning 😍 little paradise in the center of the island ! all goood 5 stars delicious coffees is the cherry on the cake

Location was a little bit away from things. While this is great for peace and quiet, it presents a slight challenge when anything is needed.

It was very quiet. The bungalow had a fantastic view. The hosts (Sebastien) was very responsive and professional.

Unfortunately we were disappointed by our stay at Papillion Bungalows, we don't mind staying in a simple bungalow but there are a few things we just couldn't cope with. first of all the internet was terrible and we rely on good internet for working, we had to cancel work because of this. secondly the beds where by far the least comfortable I have experience in the last 15 years, it was worse than camping. The room was right on the Scooter parking so it was noisy at times. the room wasn't right on the beach either like we where hoping.

On a positive note Sebastian the host was super nice and helpful and the bathroom looked better than in the picture.
