Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe transfer from the pier was not very smooth. Even though there was somebody to pick us up, the captain of the boat was nowhere to be found so we had to wait for more than half an hour on the beach. Also not very suitable if you have a large suitcase (second part of the transfer was on a motorbike with side wagon). It would also have been nice to have more than one chair/bed at the pool. Now one of us had to sit on the floor.
Very nice resort/bungalows. The swimming pool was great as well as the room! Staff was friendly and helpful. Also, we loved the location of the property. We were looking for something far away from all the parties and business near the pier and this location was very calm and quiet. Great beach at 5-10 minutes walking with almost no tourists.

NetherlandsLocation and sea. Because of low tide, you cant swim in the sea morning and afternoon. Only way to go this location is via long tail boats from pier and it is not comfortable. You need walk in the mud with your luggage after long tail boat drops you. This location is nice if you coming phi phi for couple of days to do boat trip. Because you can rent a private boat to go maya bay early in the morning or afternoon to avoid crowds
Clean and big bungalow. Wifi was good in our room 109. Staff was nice. Air condition works good

Loved the bungalow, how spacious it was.

GermanyThere is a mosque right beside the hotel so be prepared to here some prayer chanting in the morning an through the whole day.
We had a really good time on Koh Phi Phi. The beach and the small village around the resort are far less crowded than the area around Tonsai pier. You can still book boat, snorkeling and diving tours in this part of the island, although you don't have that many options than at Tonsai pier for sure. You can visit Tonsai pier by foot via a shortcut trail (60min, only usable during low tide!) and via a trail to the beautiful Viewpoints (90min). They both go through the jungle and can be a little bit challenging if you don't hike that much. If you plan to go there on a daily basis you might want to use a boat transfer from Loh Lana Bay. But they can be quite expensive 700-1000 Baht (one way!) and we would recommend sharing the price with other visitors. The resort offers a free transfer to Tonsai pier at your check-in and check-out day and that worked really well for us. All in all we recommend the resort if you like to stay in roomy bungalows more than having a luxurious hotel room.

United KingdomAir conditioning wasn't that great. Room heated up like a sauna throughout the day whilst we were out.
Room was very spacious and clean. Location is good, especially if you are wanting to be away from the main part of the island. Close to the wild trek to the viewpoint - which is well signed. Hotel give pick up and drop off too and from the mainl part of the island as there are no routes for vehicles.

United KingdomThere were a lot of ants in the bathroom and there was a large stain of something I’m not sure of in the toilet. The location wasn’t ideal for us because it’s so far and difficult to get to from Tonsai. The boats are very expensive to the village after 6pm, however the village is perfect if you’re wanting a more relaxed holiday.
We had a large bungalow with plenty of space. The main room was clean. The village itself is far from Tonsai and you have to get a 15 min boat but the hotel offer a free shuttle service when checking in/out which is very helpful. The staff were very friendly.

PolandThe offer said the hotel offers breakfast but there was no such thing available. Beside our bungalow there was a speaker from muslin mosque that was very loud and waked us up every night around 5 AM. Behind our bungalow there was a lot of trash and I'm quite sure I also saw someone burning the trash. There was no real desk in the room even though the offer said it's available so it was very uncomfortable to work with laptop. Even though we had the card asking for cleaning service every day hanging on the door sometimes there was noone coming and when they were they were just leaving water but not really cleaning. Through the whole week we had floor swept maybe once.
Hotel was close to the beach. There was a free transport both ways from the port to the hotel.

ArgentinaLocation is not good to access easily to the main part of the island. The only way to do it is by boat, which is expensive. Apart from that, very bad experience with the tour provider of the hotel or right in the entrance We were sold one thing and then the tour was different. The boat driver didn't speak a word of English and was impossible to communicate. When complaining to the tour provider, we received a very disrespectful and poor attitude from her. Definitely would recommend to book the Island tour somewhere else.
Comfortable rooms in terms of space. Free shuttle boat service to get there upon arrival.

IrelandThis is possibly the noisiest place we’ve ever stayed. Can hear the local mosque reciting prayers over a microphone multiple times per day. The rooster wandering around was cockadoodledooing every 10 seconds from 5am until after lunch time, the most anger inducing sound ever when you’re trying to sleep. The location is actually quite far from the main Phi Phi town so it’s very quiet and relaxed however if you want to go the main town it’s only accessibly by boat which will cost anywhere from 700–1500 baht per person depending on the time of day. The wifi was poor and didn’t work 95% of the time.
Room was big, good AC, bathroom was fine for it’s purpose. Could do with updating. Big comfy bed. Staff were very nice and accommodating. There was a free shuttle boat at checkout from the bay back to the main town and pier. The little village it’s located in is gorgeous and the people are so friendly and accommodating. We did snorkelling, island tour and fishing while there with local people on their long tail boats booked via Mr Toy! the local sea food restaurant even cooked the fish we caught for us to eat.

SpainThe location is not very attractive, not very close to the beach (15 min walking) and the beach is nice but not really impressive like the rest of Phi Phi islands. No nightlife close by, it is good for family vacations, but not really for solo travelers or group of friends.
The bungalow/room was very spacious and clean, comfortable bed, well maintained. Nice and welcoming staff, good value for money ✌️

United StatesBe warned that there is no ATM in the village, so bring whatever cash you will need for your stay. The closest beach is dominated by a high-end resort, but they were pretty chill about letting us wander through.
Solid value choice for an off-the-beach location towards the north end of Phi Phi Island. Surrounded by heaps of restaurants, bars, and shops geared towards travelers, the resort is within an easy walk to two beaches and a bit more of a walk to two more (one along a paved path and the other a short hike across a jungle hill - but super worth it!). The boat transfer service was a real bonus. It's a low-key place, so don't expect snappy service. I enjoyed my stay here.
