Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe room couldn't be locked: it took an hour to get the issue fixed. Breakfast was poor: has little variety and food gets refilled pretty late.
Great hospitality: we were welcomed with a drink and refreshing towel. Well-maintained location with lots of small villas and pools. Staff is ready to help you arrange boat trips and answer all your question. Room is pretty spacious and clean. Good option for a day or two

AustraliaBreakfast can be a little bit better. When I mean better is in the sense of more food to choose from. Also tv channels not much to choose from. When you are in an island where the only one out to the nearest town is by boat. You should have more channels to choose from. As for the staff ( employees ) they are awesome. Everyone 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️ Thanks

NetherlandsI wish water in the room was provided for free or relatively normal price. while we had to pay 80 baht for 500ml bottle of water. the hotel beach serves as a boat parking and delivery place at the same time which makes access to the water and chilling at the beach less enjoyable.
Resort is placed in a very remote, quiet and green place surrounded by nature and see. Bungalow was comfortable size. Staff was super helpful and nice.

AustraliaLike much of thailand the resort was still im post-COVID recovery and some services/areas are still in hibernation.
Location was perfect. Gardens and landscaping are clearly a work of love are are some of the most perfect I’ve seen on the islands. Privacy and space between the bungalows.

Romaniathe bed is very stiff and uncomfortable, geckos are very noisy, occasionally a huntsman spider or a red tailed ratsnake on the porch :) there were no vending machines as advertised but maybe we were too early for the season. Also there is no one at the reception after 7:00, only security. Also the rooms are faaar away
the resort is located at the end of the island in a small jungle well maintained. we loved the view, pool, staff. We were upgraded to deluxe and superior cottages.

IsraelThe bed was hard and uncomfortable, but I guess these are the beds in Phuket and Koh phi phi because I visited several hotels there who had the same problem.
The staff was absolutely lovely. Bank and Louise really made us feel welcomed and were super nice. The food and cocktails at the restaurant were great. The room was big and clean.

ThailandI would like more choices in the restaurant menu in regard to alcohol. What I found were just a few cocktails and two beers - Singha and Chang. Workaround - you can always visit restaurants in other hotels nearby at the beach, for wine and more. Another thing that can be improved is shower in the room. My shower had two heads - one fixed on the ceiling and another one on the flexible hose. But I couldn't figure out how to switch water from one to another, so used all the time only that one on the ceiling which was not always convenient.
Location is fantastic right at the end of the beach on Laemtong cape. Far from the crowd and close to the nature and beautiful sea. Very relaxing place. All staff was really helpful. If you didn't book your boat back to Tonsai pier they will arrange all for you and it was really convenient in my case.

United KingdomMost of my concerns are because we paid so much for 7 nights in a 2-villa property with a shared private pool (special birthday). Whilst this was spectacular on the surface, the rooms were really quite dated, the bathrooms very dark and the windows and doors did not close properly letting in the mosquitos. The internet to the TV kept resetting and one villa's AC was really poor (they tried to fix it - change a filter - but it wasn't any better and was told that they did not have fans to give out). The hotel was very large, but only the beach-front resturant was open, and they only had limited fans. It was pretty unbearable to eat without a fan, and my children couldn't cope. There was no service around the pool, the bar was closed. The shop was very basic so only pot noodles as an option if we wanted to stay in the AC. It was too expensive to explore further by boat as a family - it is far away. I knew this on booking, but wish we'd stayed on Long Beach upon refection. Although I complain about the mosquitos (I got eaten alive) my son was very distressed at the insecticide killing all the bugs that he was so looking forward to seeing).
Lovely staff, especially the lady that everyone comments on. Picture perfect Thailand. Buggy service back to the room. Second private beach for snorkling was lovely. Main pool had a lovely view. Beautiful grounds.

ChinaThere were no beach chairs or even an umbrella on the beach so you couldn’t lie on the beach without getting burnt to a crisp. Not enough space at the pool. Daily housekeeping wasn’t great. Never felt that the place was really cleaned.
I liked that it was far away from the crowds

AustraliaIf you want fun and party this place is not for you. 300 baht boat per person to get to the hotel from Tonsai beach not free pick up from hotel. If you are going to Phuket don’t book the speedboat because you will end up pay more and take longer than ferry because they will pick up from many hotel and squeeze ppl in the boat as much as they can.

United KingdomWe have been in Thailand travelling for the past month. . Each place we have stayed was quirky and fun. This resort felt like the Thai had been taken away and Thomas cook (broached travel company) had taken over …. It lacked atmosphere!
The property location was lovely and we had amazing balcony over looking the sea., they met us off our boat. It couldn’t be easier.
