Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandThe resort was on a private beautiful beach with corals on the doorstep! The staff were so kind and helpful. The room was simple no aircon, but had 2 fans with a mosquito net, which perfectly did the job. We enjoyed our stay at the Relax Beach resort.

FranceThe room was quite dark ...so dark that you have to turn on the lights during the bright day. Bungalows are not really soundproof so quite noisy for many different reasons. The beach is full of rocks and reefs, not the best for swimming. Also don't plan on staying in the city to have dinner...you'll miss the last boat at 5-30 pm, from there nobody will take you back to resort and your only options are walking through the jungle in the dark or getting a cheap room for the night.
The staff was nice..and you can have a good hiking from the resort to the town

United KingdomThought it was a bit cheeky you have to pay for the boat to and from the hotel when there is no other way to get there, it was only about £1.50 each way so not a major drama but you literally have no choice but to use it or pay considerably more for a private boat taxi and they don't run often, the latest back being 5.30pm
Food was nice, reasonably priced which was good as once you're there there is no where else to go due to it only being accessible by boat.

Absolutely stunning location beachfront. you couldn't ask for a better location, just two unwind. You do have to climb off the boat into the water to get to reception. At low tide, there are quite a few rocks under your feet be careful

IrelandAs it is in the forest, there is an enormous amount of mosquitos, go prepared with spray pre and post bite (which you can find at the restaurant as well), and citro candles or mosquito coils. We had only one show on a Sunday, maybe they should add more entertainment for guests!
A pure immersion in nature! The resort is located in a very quiet area of the phi phi island! Reachable only via sea! Everything is built with local material, and it rises from the beach up to the woods! The rooms are basic and poor in decorations but fit perfectly with the atmosphere of this resort! We were staying in one of the stilt house, where the view was just amazing, away from everything we loved the privacy of our room, we enjoyed the sunrise every morning from our balcony and chill in the last few hours of the day! The only cons was the steep stairs to get to the room, we thought it wouldn't be a problem but by the end of our staying we found them a bit hard, and regretted a bit to have refused the offer of an upgrade to the chalet by the beach! The restaurant is on the beach, and the food is just divine 😍, great portions, great value! The staff is not numerous. the same people work from morning to the end of the day, but they never show an inch of tiredness and always offer a warm and polite service to their guests! We spent a couple of days just chilling, snorkelling, kayaking... and eating, as the location is really worth, one day we went on a tour organised by the resort to the main bays and beaches of the island, probably the best day of the entire holidays!

ItalyAdd some lights along the paths leading to the rooms, it gets very dark and without a flashlight you risk to step on frogs, hermit crab etc ... which are very nice to see, though.
The place is directly on the beach, so it works perfectly to just relax and enjoy the sea. Still, it is possible to reach the main pier by a trekking in the jungle (45 minutes). The restaurant is good and with reasonable price, we also used the hotel to organize a 1-day trip to the islands and it was very nice.

United StatesThe rooms are terrible unfortunately. Smells like humid wood, no AC, and the door and windows doesn’t close very well leaving cracks big enough for critters to come in. Also a snake fell in my wife’s back on the balcony. It’s a jungle hut.
Nice beach , could snorkel right of the beach at high tide. Good food and nice people.

QatarLike I said, this is not a resort with modern amenities and so is not for everyone. There's not AC or a kettle. I would have liked to have a fresh cup of coffee as for the sunrise, but no big deal. I went to the restaurant to get my coffee during breakfast. I would suggest ordering breakfast a la carte instead of the package. I enjoy variety and more than one cup of coffee, and it would be nice not to have to buy water to go with my breakfast. But I must say, the banana pancakes are REALLY delicious. Ask for extra butter ☺️ It costs 150 each way to go to the resort, which is fine, but they should just include it with the price instead of making a separate charge.
If you are looking for a beautiful location right by the beach and don't mind "roughing" it just a bit, then this will be a good choice. I stayed at a Beachfront Bungalow. It was straight up an idyllic view, and watching the tide go from low to high was so relaxing and interesting; you can explore the coral and the ocean life during low tide. I just loved the staff; they all had personalities and though we had to wait a bit on service and beg for ice and more butter, etc., it was all good because the staff seemed very genuine and did things in the rhythm of the resort: relaxed. Great fire show. I noticed that the man who performed the fire show also did several other things at the resort and I appreciated that. Great fire show! He was very talented and the choreography was like watching ballet. I'm a big reader and was pleased to see a book exchange at the lobby. I was able to read two novels and contribute two. The food was very good. I couldn't stray away from the pineapple rice and curries because I wanted it every night. The last night I ordered some big juicy fried prawns and they were HOT and FRESH. I will dream about these prawns. We took a boat trip to the various touristy spots, and that was fine. I'd avoid the Monkey Beach, personally. The people were more like monkeys that the monkeys were. There was some garbage which was disappointing, but also saw some people picking up (including me), so that was positive. So, in conclusion, I would recommend this resort -- it is a bit pricier, but definitely worth the experience. I was stress-free and relaxed. The environment is healing.

RomaniaNot very good accessibility.. you need a boat for transfer in tonsai pier. Last boat to resort is 17.30 and you need to pay 150 bhat per way, per person. They had coffee espressor, but they said is not working so the coffee was not the best. Breakfast not so good. Limited and not enough for some people.
