Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBed was so hard and uncomfortable. I couldn't sleep well at all because I kept getting dead arms from lying on my side, the bed was as hard as lying on the floor. I asked reception for another duvet or something to lie on to try make it softer, and they said they'd add a mattress topper, which I was happy about, but it didn't actually make a bit of difference. The worst thing was that our room looked out over rubbish. Such a tiny balcony we could barely sit out there and no where to hang washing, and front and back of our block looked like a dump. I was bitterly disappointed as I had looked at hotels a fraction of the cost of this one, but splashed out a bit as it was one of our last stays and wanted it to be nice for my family. However the place for not reflect the cost they charge. When I told the receptionist I was disappointed, she just said deluxe rooms have no view, and it's not rubbish it's preparing for building (it is definitely rubbish, see pics!). Really sad I paid so much for the worst bed and the worst view, but most expensive stay, of my whole time travelling around Thailand. No toilet roll in communal toilets. No food or bar available after breakfast
Pool was lovely. Not as big as it looks in the picture, I thought we were at the wrong hotel at first as it looks different, but it was actually really nice. Not directly on the beach as advertised, there's a path and a building in between, and then it's just a tiny patch of sand, so not really the beach front pool I had envisaged. Location is fairly good as you can get to the main strip but quiet by the hotel, just a bit of a walk. Apparently long beach is near, but after a huge walk up and down hills we couldn't find it!

United StatesThe rooms were very outdated, shower pressure incredibly weak and did not get very warm. Lots of animals all over the property which is typical for Thailand, but we woke up with a cat waiting for us outside of our door! Also there was construction going on by the beach which made it unpleasant
The pool area was very nice. The property was pretty and well kept. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean

United StatesThe rooms were a bit run down and in need of updating.
The pool and beach were fantastic, the beach seemed like one the nicest setups on the island as I looked at other resorts.

Germanythe rooms are quite run down, especially the bathroom. It's fine for one night. The bathroom didn't smell great, I read that the Island in general has a sewage problem. But for the price you pay you shouldn't expect too much.
The hotel has a great location, you walk about 10-15 minutes to the main pier of the Island. The pool area is big, with enough loungers and the pool had an okay temperature (could be a little colder to be refreshing) They also have a beach area with a few loungers, right by the hotel. A little shop to buy snacks and a great coffee bar right in the same building. Breakfast was also nice, nice views but you don't have a big choice, there was a live egg station which was a bonus

CyprusThe breakfast was not great and the selection could be better , there is also no alcohol served from the small beach bar at the hotel and the food ordered from there was not great the staff were also abrupt and a bit unaccommodating. The hotel pool looks fantastic but was so hot you could not get in, the walk to the main area of PhiPhi was a little far
The villa with garden view was very nice and spacious and clean the bathroom was clean and large , Great small private beach in front of the hotel with lounges

RomaniaThey don't sell alcohol, only some wine and champagne, which is very strange if you want to enjoy a cocktail or beer at the beach or terase. Anyway you can buy beer from the supermarket.
Very nice location with a private beach. Also they have a supermarket which is cheaper than 7 eleven.

United KingdomWe found that the room wasn't a villa at all. It shared walls with other 'villas' so it was more like a hotel room. The included breakfast was great, had lots of options but the restaurant wasn't air conditioned so we just sat there sweating, so hot and uncomfortable that we really weren't hungry. There were unsupervised kids in the pool and our idea of a tropical getaway wasn't being splashed by unruly children. By the time that we asked about the trolley/wheelbarrow luggage service we were told we were too late and we found this to be very rude/abrupt.
This place was across the road from the beach, walking distance from bars and restaurants. Later on, we saw a trolley/wheelbarrow service transporting people's luggage. Tip: enquire about this beforehand so you don't have to carry your luggage for 15+ minute walk from the pier :)

United KingdomAir con in the villa rooms struggled, ours leaked on the last night. Breakfast was average but covered all the bases.
Good location, about a 10 min walk from the pier. The villas are nicely finished but could do with some updating. All the grounds are well kept, nice swimming pool which looks out onto the beach (for which the accommodation has it's own area)

United StatesThe only thing I didn't like which is major for me because I am a natural sweater, and my partner is not but was sweating her butt off the AC in the room it works but they only give you one key and you have to use the key like most hotels to keep the AC on. Therefore when you return back to your room, from outside where it is extremely hot you will return to a hot room (a very hot room). That was a big no for me, and I think the hotel should definitely give their guest an extra key that would be a great way to keep guests happy and coming back. :)
I liked that we were right there at the beach, you walk out from the hotel and the hotel has its own private area where you can lay out and look at the view of the ocean or go in for a swim. :) Then the massage place is right beside the lounge area. They also have a swing that I enjoyed. I know you you'll love it. :)
