Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe rooms old school, mould smell coming from air condition, too many little mosquitos around, toilet smell, mould needs to be eliminated, wife & daughter sick, most the time we had air con off from the mould. The outdoor facilities, pools, shops and beach close by were the best things of graceland hotel.
Beach across the road, pool outside room, close to everything

NetherlandsPool area was always very busy, almost impossible to get a sunbed. The bigger pool bar was playing hip hop all day.
We had a very nice spacious, clean and modern room with two huge double beds in it. Good location if you want to stay away from the party scene. It was just a few minute walk to get to restaurants, bars and shops. Beach is just across the street.

MaltaGuests save their sunbeds from early morning, which was quite annoying. Pools need a lot of attention, as there are broken tiles inside the pools. Smell of chlorine in the early morning is strong, and cleaning of pool areas should be done early morning. There should also be easier access to the pools in the form of more ladders.
I liked the large pools and the quieter location of the hotel in Patong. Breakfast was good and they had a choice of 2 locations. Our interconnecting rooms were nice and comfortable in a quiet part of the hotel. These were always serviced very well. I am however surprised that this hotel has a five star rating. It is more like 4 star.

AustraliaComplex is large and it took us a long distance from the entrance lobby to Block 5. Lifts were a bit old, and lift doors were automatically closed, and sometimes hit the people entering the lifts. Luckily we live on the 2nd level and easy walk upstairs.
Location is excellent - Patong Beach is just cross the street and walking distances to night market and stores. There are so many swimming pools and snooker tables for daytime when it was hot outside. Buffet breakfast provides a mixture of Asian food, western food and Thai local food.

AustraliaThe swamp smell in the bathroom. The smell around the hotel is also bad. The dirty smell in the bathroom made it a nightmare to use the toilet and shower. Also, no hotwater in the shower, may because it's warm outside. But room is cold.
Very helpful staff. Good breakfast options. Swimming pool very good and accessible. Very close to the beach. Nice restaurant. Good activities for the kids. Room nice and big with bigger beds.

AustraliaCool Pools, Comfy Beds, Caveat Emptor: While this hotel boasts enticing features like multiple pools, comfy beds, and a TV with YouTube, some aspects fell short of expectations. Hospitality Hiccups: The initial warmth seemed absent upon arrival. The reception staff didn't offer a welcome or explain facilities, even denying giving us a map we didn't receive. Assertiveness was required to obtain basic information. Poolside Perplexity: Signage clearly stated "no pool bed reservation," yet guests disregarded it, and staff wouldn't enforce it. Prepare for potential towel wars if poolside lounging is a priority. Currency Conundrum: Exchanging foreign currency presented another hurdle. While the hotel refused slightly marked or tiny torn notes from us, their own Thai Baht exchange yielded some torn bills. Consistency would be appreciated. I straight away return those notes and requested the staff to follow their own rule. Breakfast Battleground: During peak season in January, the main breakfast area resembled a chaotic battlefield. Coffee machines took an eternity to produce and broke down daily, leaving the overwhelmed staff struggling to cope. Tip: Escape the breakfast frenzy by heading to the alternative breakfast area - your coffee and sanity will thank you. Kids club: Club is for little kids only, however the resort has basic activities where younger kids, teens can participate.
Cool Pools, Comfy Beds, and Street Food Paradise: This hotel boasts everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation: multiple pools (including one with access!), spacious rooms with comfy beds, and a big TV featuring tons of channels and even YouTube. But the real star of the show is the location! Location: The hotel sits strategically between two vibrant streets (northern side): Thawewong Rd and Rat Uthit Song Row Pi Rd (RUSRP). For quick bites and coffee cravings, a 3-minute stroll down RUSRP reveals a treasure trove of restaurants and cafes, plus handy convenience stores. Street Food Heaven: But if you're a street food adventurer, head towards Thawewong Rd, especially in the evenings. This street comes alive with hundreds of vendors, offering a dizzying array of deliciousness right on the beach. Get ready for a street food paradise! Cafe & Restaurant Haven: For more dining options, you'll need to venture a bit further. Walk south on Thawewong Rd for 10 minutes (take Bangla Rd as a reference, it's about a 20-minute walk from there). This stretch offers a wide variety of cafes and restaurants, perfect for leisurely dinners or a coffee break. Overall Verdict: This hotel is a great choice for those who want a mix of relaxation and exploration. The poolside chill vibes are balanced by the nearby street food delights and diverse dining options. And if you don't mind a 10-minute walk, even more culinary adventures await. Just remember, if you choose this route, be prepared for some extra heat due to the hot weather. Bonus Tip: Consider renting a scooter for easy access to both sides of the street and wider exploration of the area.

AustraliaIt seemed a little tired and needed some fresh paint in areas. We were woken each day anytime from 6am by other hotel room doors slamming shut - these doors need some soft closers on them as this is frustrating each morning. We ate at the buffet on our last night and then got good poisoning do unfortunately it wasn’t a good end for us.

Spain- no tanning beds. Literally none. One day I was awake at 6AM I saw people running to place towels and stuff. - it’s good for families but if you are after relaxation then nah! - most of the rooms and buildings are outdated, but some of the “sunset” rooms are modern and located in newly renovated buildings. - I had multiple situations with reception staff where I’d ask a question, and their immediate response is “no”. In one case I asked to please check in the system at least and show for a second they actually care.
- beach was surprisingly good, it’s at the edge of patong and quite a good one (more on the level of kata/karon) - breakfast is decent, good verity and options
