I have zero complaints about this place.

This is my second time going back to Pop-In Ao Nang and when I go back to Ao Nang, I’ll probably stay there again. The staff are great, super friendly and helpful. They even remembered me from my last visit (probably because every day I had new questions). They’ll arrange any trip or transfer you want/need to do and the prices are better than getting it from the street. The rooms are clean and cool, even without the air con on. No laundry service, we used the lady across the road who was good. No matter what temperature we put the shower on, the water barely reached lukewarm.

The place could really use a big clean up. The room was okay, but the other parts of the building were very smelly. Not very comfortable to walk through every time.

I didn’t like the beds. They are WAY too hard. The set-up of the place you can hear a lot of noise from The shared showers/washroom space. The place says it super social but it’s not. Everyone really kept to themselves which was unfortunate

I liked that there were multiple options for showers you never had to wait. The location was great and staff were super helpful.

I didn't like how high the top bunk was, I couldn't reach up there at all so it was hard to get anything up and down. The joint space down the bottom isnt really used, it smells a touch down there. Beds are hard but that is to be expected in SE Asia. The doona I got had blood splats on it where it looks like it didnt come out in the wash, just make sure you always travel with a slip sheet.

Really interesting set up of a hostel, you walk through an open bathroom on each level to get to the rooms. The rooms were big, aircon and a big cage draw under the beds that can fit your pack and anything else. A shelf is next to your bunk for your phone and things you need access too, and there is also a curtain for added privacy. As for location - you wouldn't want to be any further out, you are still JUST in town close to food and markets, but its about a 10-15 min walk down to Ao Nang beach where you can then get onward travel to Railay or Tonsai (Tonsai is better in my opinion). As for the night market, you are about a 45 min walk away from that!!

The lobby had a weird smell that made it unenjoyable to walk downstairs/ spend time in main area. Not enough of a deterring factor to not stay but hoping it can be fixed?

We booked a double room and it was massive, with good air conditioning and a well appointed bathroom. Cleaning services were really good. Location was also good, central area.

excellent stay for the price! room was cleaned everyday and they provided water wich I love. I just didn't like the cleanliness of the bathroom but not for how its clean but how it's built. It makes water splash everywhere. Overall I had a nice and decent stay.

I loved everything. The people, the location (10 minutes from the beach), the fact that you have a pretty big storage room under every bed that you can lock, the shared space outside and and and... I would definitely come back, all this Luxus for such a small price!!

All the bathrooms could of been cleaner. Didn't know if it was the drains or the smell from the loos around the building by reception and stair well.

Loved the location. The staff were amazing, we were hit with food poisoning just after booking a tour and managed to get fully refunded which we didn't expect but we really appreciated.

The road it's situated on is a bit rough but that's more an issue with the area.

Whilst Ao Nang itself is lacking, this hostel was a nice relaxing environment with decent rooms and working air conditioning. Overall solid experience and the staff were great as I had left my shoes behind and they held them for me!
