Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyBungalows are really old and filthy and look like they have not been properly cleaned since years. It seems only the least necessary maintenance is being done to keep the bungalows running. Poseidon might have been a lovely place once but is very long past it's best days. For 300-400 bath I would not complain, but for 990 bath I'd expect more. Last to mention, cockroaches. They belong to the jungle, but here they just completed the above mentioned impression.
Fantastic location directly on a paradise bay. The huts are in a secret tropical garden

MalaysiaThe site is a bit run down, the road going in was in bad shape, room had no aircon. Lots of insects everywhere and mosquitos too. Needs a spruce up.
Very quiet location far from town, serene ambience, very relaxing and laid back type of atmosphere. Restaurant available. Far from anything.

United Statesthe bungalow was in disrepair— the only shelf in the room was broken. the toilet room light would sometimes work, but not all the time. there were fighting mice in the ceiling at night. fan only room, but that was ok. the bed leaned down in one direction. the pool water was too murky to swim in. I booked this place based on the beach photos and the pool, but the pool was unusable.
location, views, and access to a beautiful beach were the best features.

United StatesThere were some ants in our room. Also there was some loud music in the evenings coming off the water (probably from the neighboring hotel).
The location is perfect if you want a quiet peaceful getaway to the beach. The views are fabulous and the beach is only a minute or 2 walk away. The breakfasts (not included in our room) were very delicious too. The staff and owner were so helpful and kind. We really enjoyed our stay!

United KingdomUnwelcoming reception from host both at check in and check out, no concern as to how our stay had been. 4% credit card charge is highest we experienced in the whole of Thailand which wasn’t clear when booking. Very poor property maintenance, whilst we expected basic accommodation in line with the price, which we have vast experience of, we would hope for none holey mosquito nets, cleaner walls free of dead bugs and filling of gaps to prevent mice entering the bungalow (not the kind of nature we were expecting). Worst of all was the noise from next door property which whilst not the fault of the bungalows negates the selling point of a relaxing and quiet retreat which is what we were seeking, perhaps some soundproofing/effective windows may offset this issue
Lovely location, beautiful beaches and excellent, cheap restaurants and bars nearby

United KingdomThe bungalow is very basic and tatty. There was no TV or airconditioning unit. When I checked on my booking it did not say there was any, but at 1,480 Baht with no breakfast included we had presumed there would be anyway, The steps up to the bungalow are very steep, which is unavoidable as they are set into the hill side. The steps are quite narrow and when you get to the top the door opens outwards which is a very poor design as you have to step backwards and shuffle around the door. Definitely not reccommended for eldery or infirm guests. There are no bottles of water. tea, coffee or complimentary bathroom cosmetics included which was a bit of a surprise. At approx 3.5 baht wholesale cost of a bottle of water it seems a bit pathetic for you to get there and find none there. ( you can fill up a bottle at the restaurant FOC. but would have to walk back along the windy path to get it.) The cleanlieness and decor is very poor. We all realize that times have been hard during covid, but some of the neglect and dirt is years old. A decent thorough clean and a pot of white emulsion paint would go a long way to lifting the tired and dirty look. Advertised as sea views and there are a few specs of sea visible through the dense undergrowth but to call it a view is pushing it a bit. A serious cut back of the jungle would open up a fantastic view.
The resort is situated on a lovely little bay with direct access to a small sandy beach with great views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was clean and had a nice view, The food was quickly served, tasted great and the prices were very reasonable

Simple basic bungalow with some of the best location what I’ve seen my 36 years experience of Thailand. For other I would say: Don’t expect any luxurious build bungalow with all appliances , this is simple place with fantastic atmosphere and view. You can middle of the jungle. Make sea canoe directly front of bungalows etc. Nice wooden open restaurant on site. No need to search good food somewhere else. All is here for laid back holidays.. Owners and staff are helpful and super nice. Poseidon Bungalows kept secret on my mind.

South AfricaWe rented two bungalows for a night. Our 3 children stayed in the large sea front unit with a beautiful sea view and aircon. We stayed in a smaller unit with a fan. The facilities are clean and hidden away in the trees. The sounds of the insects and birds are beautiful. We enjoyed all our meals at the on site restaurant. The food is fantastic. The service is good. The prices are reasonable. The basil chicken was very good. Thank you!

FranceExcept the natural environment where the hotel is located, everything else is run down and badly managed! The bungalows are very very basic and need urgent maintenance! Even though it is supposed to be a rustic place, some basic needs should be fulfilled: - beds matresses are very old, very unconfortable and very very dirty! - mustiqo nets on the windows are useless as they dont close well ( same as the door and windows themselves) - shower is very bad as as soon as you turn on the heater the water is burning hot (at minimum possible heating power)! So we ended up using only cold water The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived and if you want it to be cleaned you need to ask everyday for it. The problem is that, depending on whom you find at the reception in the morning, the message can be transmitted to the cleaning ladies or not (we found ourselves with the cleaning lady coming and knocking on the door at 2 pm while our kid was sleeping)! There are no toiletries at all in the room (not even a simple soap in the bathroom) You dont get at all the friendly welcoming and typical Thai smile in the face of the owners! They seem always bothered by other problems instead, each time you ask for help or even just greet them! Due to that (but also because the food quality at their restaurant is very poor), we ended up using the beach restaurants everyday (including breakfast), much much more better! The hotel is far from the center of any busy area to go out (you need to consider around 300 Baht each way for taxi). The bungalows are advertised as sea view, but only around 2 of them (out of 10-12) have really a sea view, the others can only see the trees between you and the sea! Payments by creadit cards are advertised as "accepted in booking.com" but what is not mentioned is that they charge 4% more for cc payments!
The surroundings is very nice! The bungalows are in an area full of greenery and flower plants

NetherlandsWe loved the combination of the sounds of the sea in the front and the jungle in the back. The bungalows and beaches are set up with a lot of care for privacy which was great. Poseidon is in a remote setting and this is what we were after. Some amazing butterflies spotted. Staff very friendly. Can only recommend staying here if you want to get away from it all. A scooter is definitely a necessity if you want to see more of the area ( waterfalls, jungle, shops and markets).

ThailandI never leave bad reviews, but this place is misadvertised. There is a TINY beach. You can't get in the water because its were a freshwater river feeds the ocean, huge rocks. The place its self is not taken care of at all. The side walks covered in old leaves. It's one thing for the facility to be older and need some work but there isn't pride taken in their facility. We were supposed to stay 3 nights 4 days. We left after the first night when we woke up to NO water. If you book don't say I didn't warn you. Ps I was I'm shocked and didn't take one pic .
The lady at the front was sweet.

United StatesThe bungalow, at the end of a VERY long walkway that was covered with greasy, slippery algae and soaking wet, making it extremely dangerous, stank of mildew. Want a/c? That will be 540 baht a night more. Classic bait and switch. I took a very nasty fall on the walkway and the woman who was walking with me kept right on walking ahead, leaving me behind. It's a damned good thing I"m an athlete. I've had to see three chiropractors since, I hurt my back so badly. The owner, when I told her about the walkaway, got defensive and argumentative. DO NOT STAY HERE. NOT A GOOD PLACE. If the mold and mildew don't get you a serious fall on the walkway will.
The view was lovely. Didn't make up for the mildew, the dangerous greasy walkway or the argumentative owner.

LithuaniaThe place is exceptional! You get the jungle house straight on the private beach, I couldn’t imagine anything better. If you go to the balcony early in the morning you can notice a lot of jungle animals in the trees, witch is a wonderful experience. The tranquility and beauty of this place is just magical, it is just an escape from all the hustle and bustle of the cities. Walking along the beach further you can find a couple of super nice restaurants, that are also definitely worth visiting.
