We travelled in low season so a lot of things were closed, but the hotel was really helpful and gave us a lot of options on things we could do and see.

Really enjoyed our stay here, very quiet and relaxing but close enough to all the things you could want to do in Koh Lanta. They arranged a couple of trips for us that were good value for money and that we really enjoyed.

Very old and stained. It felt itchy. It also got really hot during the day, I wouldn’t recommend the fan room.

There were quite a few ants in our room but would not deduct anything for this - we are in a hot country in a wooden bungalow, it is inevitable and not the property’s fault!

Absolutely loved our stay on Koh lanta thanks to Alex, poo and everyone at Dareen Garden home🫶 rooms are comfortable and clean with great aircon, they are not pristine and modern but you are not paying for that !! Value for money is exceptional esp as breakfast is included! A highlight of our whole trip (not just our 4 days here) was our cooking lesson with Poo - she is an incredible cook as we found out from eating at the restaurant every night, and taught us well! We had a great time chatting and look forward to trying the recipes again at home -highly recommend booking in, great value for money again as it was just the two of us. 5-10mins from beach/7eleven/other shops and restaurants. If you want to do more exploring, not having transport will hold you back a little, but most tours (ie elephant sanctuary, snorkel trips) offer pickup anyway. Speaking of transport, we really appreciated Alex trying to teach us to ride bikes for the first time for free - we were terrible and decided against it which he was supportive of rather than trying to sell us the hire anyway when it would clearly have been dangerous! Yet again another example of great hospitality, and if you are happy to ride a moped definitely hire from here.

There was lots of ants in our room. The bathroom was not super clean as there was sand in the bathtub. Towels and bedsheet had quite few stains. There was also sand on the floors. The pool was not very inviting as it was a bit untidy, same with the sunbeds. If you want to go to the beach there is a short 10min walk down there.

The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpful people. They helped us to book tickets for our next destination, also there was a possibility to rent motorbikes and do laundry. Breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant was super delicious. Our familyroom was huge and very spacious. It was a peaceful place with multiple cute cats. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back next time!

The owner, Alex & Poo, all the staff are extremely friendly. There is a real good vibe at this place, the pool, the cats, everything makes you relax. The breakfast is excellent, so is the restaurant cooking. Excellent location close to an incredibly lovely beach. A/C and fridge work flawlessly. Waoooo!

We couldn’t of asked for more at Lanta Dareen Garden Home, it was great value for money. The little restaurant attached was fantastic and Susy brightened every morning. We also rented a moped on site & had our transfer organised seamlessly. We would definitely recommend!

Rooms were spacious, clean and the aircon worked great in this heat. All the staff were so friendly and helpful- and the included breakfast every morning was delicious. When there was a miscommunication with our bus, their driver stayed with us and made sure we were able to get on the right bus safely after speaking to the driver himself. Not the mention the large amount of very friendly and well looked after cats staying there as a bonus! Would definitely recommend!

For us it provided us all we needed

Our stay at Lanta Dareen was wonderful. The bungalows were simple but comfortable, providing everything we needed without any unnecessary frills. The focus here is on value and comfort, with effective air conditioning and basic but adequate bathrooms. The beds were a bit firm, which is common in Thailand, but overall, the bungalows met our expectations perfectly. The pool was a fantastic amenity, especially with the intense February sun in Koh Lanta. It was often too hot to go to the beach, so having the pool to relax by was a great alternative. Breakfast each morning, prepared by Susie was a highlight. We had a choice of cereal, yogurt with fruit, eggs with toast, or pancakes, all served in a charming open-air restaurant surrounded by the day-to-day workings of the business and a few resident cats. While I'm not usually a fan of cats, the ones here were not bothersome and were easy to shoo away if needed. A great family run business and they were incredibly helpful, organizing tours and transfers, offering motorbike rentals, laundry services, and more. Alex, was very helpful and spoke good English. Poo, was the main cook for lunch and dinner, and her cooking was exceptional. Each dish prepared with love and patience, no need to go anywhere else. The location of Lanta Dareen was ideal, just a short walk from a beautiful beach. While we explored other beaches for comparison, we found this one to be perfect, with fewer boat wakes and plenty of space. The property's location off the main drag also meant it was quieter than beachfront accommodations. The nearby township offered convenient access to a variety of shops, including a 7 Eleven, pharmacy/doctors and some small food stalls selling delicious snacks and sweets. We also enjoyed exploring the island on our scooter, visiting Old Town and enjoying the scenery along the coast. In summary, our stay at Lanta Dareen was perfect for our needs, offering comfort, convenience, and exceptional hospitality.

There is not much that we didnt like. It might have been useful if the shower area had been a bit larger, but on the other hand, everything worked just fine.

We really liked the food (Alex and Poo's restaurant was excellent) and the friendly, helpful staff. The location was also very good - close enough to the beach, but far enough out of town to avoid any noise.

Bathroom is a bit small, with shower just over the toilet. And water dont really drain fast so bathroom floor stays wet for a long time. Cleaning service could be improved.

Atmosphere cosy and chill. Nice to have the bungalow facing the pool, which is very pleasant to hang around. Fridge, kettle and AC in the room. Food super super good, we higly recommand taking your meals in Alex and Poo restaurant, you wont regret it ! The location is also perfect, just a short walk from a great beach with a good offer of bars and restaurants, without being too crowded. And free breakfast is also very good, the omelet is so soft and tasty. Motorbike available to discover the island. Help to book transportation. Highly recommanded ! We will stay here again if we come back to Koh lanta.

Great place to stay in Koh Lanta. 5-10 min walk to the beach and shops + restaurants. Quiet place with ducks and cats roaming around Lovely hosts, breakfast was nice, food available at restaurant was INCREDIBLE, the best food we had in Thailand. Masaman curry is a must try. Laundry service was also great and affordable. We also booked a lot of tours through the hosts. Value was also really good. The bamboo cabin is very basic, but we enjoyed it and the mosquito net keeps out any unwanted guests.

The people are what makes this place in Koh Lanta! The lovely man who made us fresh breakfast every morning was the most kind, helpful and sweet person we have met yet! All the staff do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as they can and want to help you in anyway they can. The place has a well kept pool, great food, cute kittens, bike rentals and can help you book anything you need for your trip.
