How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Staff is very nice and helpful. Free bicycle, great for travel. Room is very large. Price is very cheap, especially renting for one month. Though you need to contact the owner before arrival as not always have staff in front desk.

Maybe more water pleasure in the showers, but that is a personal thing and they had plenty of nice warm water. The room had a tankless water heater which I loved. I don't really have any dislikes.
This was my third stay. I always stay here now because I really like everything about it. It is close to the old city but in a nice quiet area. Just down the street from the Saturday night market. The staff is great and they took wonderful care of my room and the whole facility. It is a short walk to the city market and has a great cafe nearby. It is my go to hotel and as my trips are usually 3 weeks very affordable and feels like home. I don't think about staying any where else.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice and spacious the room was. The young lady on reception was very polite and seemed to do everything from reception to cleaning. Only fault was very hard. Would recommend.

It was perfect.
Really good value, you get a lot for what you pay for. The room itself is large as is the bathroom, and the bathroom isn't a wet room, the sink and toilet area stay dry. The bed is a large king-size bed. The balcony is small but useful. I usually wake up earlier than my partner so it was a quiet place to read in the morning while my partner slept. The staff is friendly but gives you plenty of space. Maid staff was good about clearning our rooms when we were out for walks. The location is really good, not in the Old Town, but right next to it. There are a few coffee shops just a short walk away, with plenty of good options 10-15 minutes walking. Walked nearly everywhere, only used a taxi twice. Really happy to stay here, hope to stay here every time I travel to Chiang Mai.

we had only cold water the first night, but they fixed it the next day. 👍🏻 Upon arrival nobody was at the reception despite ringing the bell, but we found someone in the 4th floor. we had to pay cash incl. 200 baht deposit for room key.
Good location, spacious room, good internet. cold drinks from fridge available at reception, no coffee or breakfast in house.

Very good value, location also convenient. Spacious room, big bed, tv worked well and Wi-Fi was solid. Clean, room had everything you need. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

We liked the location, close to the Old City, a daily market, and corner coffee shop. Quiet and comfortable. Lovely staff. Fairly basic but good ac, shower and large room. Very good value.

The location was nice, although not directly in the centre, I can definitely recommend the nearby Aum Vegetarian restaurant, so delicious! The room was very big and a the bathroom was great!

Chiam Mai: air was unbreathable, as it was by far the most polluted city in the world. Stay away from this area during March and April.
Staff was extremely nice and friendly. The room was huge and with all amenities. All areas were super clean. Amazing accommodation!

The WiFi was abit of a trouble but they fixed it for us quickly everytime.
Friendly staff. Anything we needed they will do it asap for us. The room was spacious for 3 people. Not far from restaurants, bike rentals and hospital if needed. Approx. 10mins walk to street food markets. (Saturday markets) 20mins walk to the night bazaar markets.

Would be nice to know about 200 baht deposit before check in.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good room in a renovated building .Great value for money. Great location close to the centre and night market. Conditioner fridge and shower all functioning good!

Everything! Great friendly lady Rinn and also the staff! Clean, very big room, everthing looks new, excellent location walking distance to everywhere and at a great price. We are staying total of 8 days, extended, and will definitely stay here when in CM. Also, Rinn's mom & brother own biggest motorbike renter shop very close to the hotel. Very friendly service. Very nice people. You get rental discount staying at Rinn. We rented Honda 160cc for the long trip. Hassle free at a great price!

It was very close to the city centre, we walked everywhere from here. Local markets were nearby, many options for food. They provide free bicycles. Laundry was also nearby.
