Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI think it would be a good idea to point out that the upper bungalows are unsuitable for people with limited mobility. Due to the construction, some movement is necessary, even when using the toilet. The design is quaint and fun, but only for people who are fit.
The bungalow was very clean. The food tasted good and the location and service were perfect.

NetherlandsThe showerhead was a bit low and the top of the bathroom is open. There is no one who could see me showering, but something to keep in mind
Locationwise it’s between the two best beaches on the island. The staff is really friendly and they have a good restaurant with a delicious and very extensive menu.

New ZealandMore hooks to hang things please and more hammocks in either your bar area or family houses :) food a little pricey, but that's to be expected with such a small peaceful island
love the aesthetic of the place (treehouse feel). breakfast crepes, best found on our adventures. Green curry flavours in a cocktail, strange but it worked. Super friendly staff, lovely location. Gave us that tropical island feel. It was quiet! a few massages and restaurants just metres down the road. Clean. Bathroom a separate little outhouse down the stairs but that was fine.

AustraliaWe were unfortunately facing the road so although we were high in the jungle, the traffic noise woke us up consistently throughout the night. There are some water- facing bungalows that would have been quieter. Of note, the bathroom is outside the room accessed via a set of stairs. It was a very traditional Thai wet bathroom with shower in front of the toilet. This wasn’t a problem except there was nowhere really to hang or place your toiletries or clothes in the bathroom so you had to either travel half naked up some stairs to your room on full view or you had to risk your clothes getting wet in the bathroom. A small waterproof/ plastic shelf would have been great so we could store our things in the bathroom instead of having to take them up and down the stairs every time we wanted to use them. The bathroom configuration, whilst typical in Thailand was limiting for a family of four. If one person was having a shower, no one else could access the bathroom or use the toilet. In our old couple backpacking days this wouldn’t have been so much of an issue, but with more people using the one space it was a bit frustrating. As a side note, the 3 island tour arranged via the accommodation didn’t take us to the 3 prearranged islands (instead taking us to one island and two small stretches of beach). Make sure you confirm the agreed locations with the long tail drivers before you set out!
Lovely, helpful and accommodating staff and owner, lovely beachside location, easily accessible and close to many restaurants. We stayed in the Garden view family bungalow which was a well built and pretty bungalow, with a great seating area outside. Good mosquito nets which were definitely needed! Hornbills fly throughout the trees close by.

AustraliaThe bathroom was a seperate annex to the living/sleeping area of the bungalow, and accessed out a back door. The bathroom walls were brick with wooden slats, which meant that the mosquitoes had full access. Not nice whilst showering or using the toilet.
The location on the beach. The bungalow was mostly very nice. Well lit, for a change. A very nice verandah to sit on & look at the water. The restaurant & bar were also very good.

United KingdomThere is nothing to do there . Around its dead. It's even not a village, literally nothing. The beach is also really dirty, and lots of jellyfish We visited the "city "town, it's just one street , in 5 min walk. I guess it's for people who loves the peace
In general, I pretty much like it. It was a clean and nice atmosphere.

DenmarkBeach at the hotel is not so great, lots of rocks making it impossible to swim during low tide. But many other lovely beaches on the island and the hotel rents out scooters..
Beautiful bungalow rigth on the sea front. Great atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. We had 8 wonderful days at the Sabai Corner and recommends it for anyone looking for a quiet time.

South AfricaThe room was very cramped even for 1 person. No aircon and it was super hot, despite being in the shade most of the day. Toilet is outside and a mission at night. Get a bungalow far from the road and noise or upgrade to aircon room. Some of the staff were not pleasant. Food was good but overpriced comparatively to places close by.
Stayed for 7 days in bungalow. Loved the balcony area with hammock. Location is one of the best I saw on the island. In a jungled hill, Situated Between 2 of the best beaches with lots of dining options. Bike rentals were decent. Organised pier pickup and drop off.

United KingdomProbably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues - it's on a steep slope and my bathroom was below the bungalow, down some stairs.
The owner is super friendly and helpful. Sabai offers old-style Thai charm. Gorgeous location in the jungle overlooking the sea. I had a resident tree frog! :)

FranceThe road near by (very sensitive to noise, choose bungalows at the top of the hill)
Because we didn't booked our bungalow by advance, we changed 4 times our bedroom, so I could write a review of half of the place ahah. First, staff of sabai corner is very nice and professional. They found a solution and upgraded us the first night, cause our bungalow was near by the road and I am very sensitive to noise. In sabai, You have bungalows for everybody. Modern with AC near by the sea, more rustic bungalow at the top without AC, very rustic but so charming (and more quiet if you like silence). The location is fine, also sabai corner rent scooter with is cool if you want to cruise a little.

United KingdomBeaches around aren't great and far too rocky to swim and turbid to snorkel, so on a budget, there's not much to do, and we were a bit bored. Rooms and beds are a bit small with no air con and very basic.
Staff are very helpful and can book boats and bicycles, and the restaurant is excellent with a lovely view. Rooms are nice under the canopy with hornbills flying around. Very tranquil.

South AfricaWe wanted to make sure we had an air conditioner which is not available in all chalets which resulted in us being close to the road and kitchen which was a little noisy at times.
We really enjoyed the value for money of the place. It was well located with friendly staff and a perfect place for a budget getaway. I would be happy to recommend it to anyone.

ThailandThe woman that welcomed me immediately tried to upsell me to a more expensive villa in a way that felt ingenuine to me. This was my one small negative. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Was an amazing wooden bungalow tucked away with some privacy in the forest. It was the nicest accommodation I've stayed in on my trip.

GermanyUnfortunately there are many mosquitos around, so prepare your mosquito repellent. :) There is also a mosquito net inside the bungalow.
Cozy and nice bungalows with hammock and chillout area in front of the hut. Many green plants and trees around, sometimes you see some hornbills on the branches. Rooms are very clean. Really good restaurant with delicious food and drinks.

NetherlandsBathroom could be a little cleaner. However, to be fair, we were informed that we can ask anytime for our room to be serviced, which we didn't, so this one is one us 😅 Lots of bugs & mosquitos, but that's to be expected due to the location. Bed mosquito net could be bigger though. As is now, you can't really cover the whole bed and be comfortable with 2 people and not having the net touching you.
Sabai Corner is built at the prettiest spot in the island 👌The little beach next to it, views over the sea, the garden.. all make for a magnificent stay & atmosphere. The staff is polite & helpful. Just beatiful surroundings for a quiet & relaxed holiday. We stayed at the newest bungalow, and it's well made with good airco, fan..all comforts. Most of the days we had breakfast & at least one meal at the restaurant, and we were well satisfied.
