Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SerbiaThe hotel is wonderful! We stayed for a wee. Very friendly professional smiling staff. The hotel is excellently located, everything you need is nearby, a shuttle runs to the sea every hour, which is very convenient! Delicious food and excellent breakfasts. I would especially like to note the atmosphere of the hotel, the style is thought out to the smallest detail, everything is very beautiful and authentic, the pool is gorgeous.❤️

AustraliaThe male receptionist was rude and sassy, not welcoming at all and gives bad vibes. Really ruined the first part of the experience. The shower had a bad smell. The poop closes too early and the breakfast was average at best, not enough western food options just hot Asian foods to eat.
It’s cool at night, very beautiful. They put lots of effort and detail into the decor. The pool is cool.

MexicoThe hotel linked me up with a tourist agent who shamelessly overcharged me for a short ride to see elephants, 1000bht. What was included, as she said, was the ride to the location (which was about 15 min one way) and taking pictures. I specifically asked for a sanctuary visit, and yet I was brought to a sad scene with chained elephants. Heartbreaking.
Location, comfortable bed, attentive staff.

United KingdomThe staff were very friendly and attentive. The facilities were excellent, especially the pool area, swim up bar and gym. We stayed in room 305 which was a lovely large room with a good sized dressing room and bathroom. You could access the swim up pool from our bathroom or balcony and our room was close to the swim up bar. The breakfast was lovely and catered for everyone's taste. A lot of thought had gone into the magnificent architecture of the whole hotel , water features and lighting especially in the flooring of all the pools and water features.

AustraliaThe pool bar was a bit disappointing. There is a happy hour for two hours but only three weak drinks. The person staffing it was also quite rude.
We were very impressed by Sawasdee! In particular, the pool access room blew us away. It was stunning both day and night. There were also so many thoughtful touches that you don’t even get in a 5 star hotel - a mosquito net curtain to enclose the bed that you could put away, mosquito balm, toiletries etc. We also enjoyed a 2 for 1 massage package which was incredible.

AustraliaNothing to dislike.
This property is full of intricate details everywhere you look, yet not overwhelming so, it’s truly unique. At night this place comes into a league of its own and is truly magical. Staff were great and went out of their way to accommodate, breakfast was great and staff highly attentive. Room was clean and had everything we needed. This hotel was definitely worth the extra $$.

United StatesWe were disappointed with the western breakfast. With all of the cheap local fruit, there could have been better options. Also, it’s close to the beach on a map, but you have to walk a long way. We didn’t know they had a shuttle until the last day. (Nothing to do with the hotel - but Phi Phi island tour was disappointing - shuttled around to crowded beaches for 30 mins of swimming)
A gorgeous tranquil property tucked into a busy road. The grounds look great during the day and are enhanced by the lighting at night. A room with pool access is highly recommended. Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the Kata night market which is family friendly, and a quick drive to the Buddha and elephants.

United KingdomLoved everything about the resort
This resort is in the middle of the town but once you enter there is absolutely no noise. Because you are in the town you are close to everything. The beach is a 10 mins walk away but there is a free shuttle every hour in both directions. This resort has to be experienced as it is beautiful.. little fairy lights everywhere and it is so authentically Thai. The pool areas are fantastic. The restaurant was great for both breakfast and dinner. Staff all friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend more highly although next time I will book a room which leads onto the pool. We had a garden room which was nice but quite small. If you headed to kata stay here.
