How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The toilets/shower area didn't have much ventilation. Also, for number of guests it could accommodate, the number of toilets should have been more. Only 2 (1 - man, 1- woman) were there. And there were 4 or 5 shower room. I was a bit surprised by this ratio of shower room vs toilet.
I booked the hostel bed for I had to find a place to spend 4-5 hours at night and sleep somewhere. The hostel is perfect for that. I liked the small common area the hostel had and also the restaurant attached to it. The common area had a nice TV, games etc. Staffs were friendly and helpful.

The toilets and showers were just a bit weird, down a long humid corridor that felt a bit claustrophobic and smelled of mould.

No safety box, no locker for personal goods with key.
Good location for public transportation, beach, local market, food. It must be for short staying as I arrive so late, so stayed for a nights to move for the place longer staying.

The beds are wrapped into a plastic sheet because of keeping them clean easy, on that there are fabric sheets. But when you move, it can be very loud :D
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the place is clean and quiet at all times. The AC works all the time, the kitchen is very clean and usable too.

The other travelers who seem to think They are the only ones who wanted to sleep. When they wake up, they just talk and make noise like no one else paid for a place to SLEEP!

Location is big challenge if u want to travel towards walking street or other area as its very close to jomatine beach ...i tried getting bike for rent and couldn't find any shops only 2 shops were thr in 4km distance ...
Value for money as thy also have option of using fridge and microwave .. staff can be bit more friendly as currently thy seems to be rude at times....

Noisy, no normal workspaces or sockets at the tables, toilet and shower together.
Close to the beach and markets, cheap price, a lot of entertainment.

Talking with reception was a total disappointment unfortunately... Hoping they will smile once in a lifetime for the guest (I don't mean the guy shows the rooms)
Perfect location, very well beds and comfortable private space. Have lockers inside and a little hall, recommended!

There is no kitchen and working place.
The hostel is not “wow” but fine. But there is a swimming pool.

Just one thing, there was some shortage of water for bathing, but it gets sorted out in some time. So, no issue.
Everything was good. Rooms are quiet, clean and beds are comfortable. AC working fine. Total Value for money. Easily located.

This crazy cleaning staff lady in daytime is so arrogant and extreme the stay checkout time is 12 pm one incident happened with me when I partied late night 🌃 and came back and slept early morning proof is camera 📸 I came back and slept and did my booking online for that day and I went to sleep the cleaning lady came around 10.30 didn't even ask my permission removed the curtain and disturbed my privacy and started asking questions relating to checkout even though I had booked lack of awareness from the reception girl and cleaning lady harassment which was uncalled for I request booking.com people please review this property and take actions against their staff many customers in this month have faced issues in front of me I have few more incidents I will review it in my another booking date

Staff were ridiculous especially the security, upon checking out I was refused to go in to the lounge area to sit, all reception seats were taken. I was not leaving Jomtien until 2pm but was man handled to leave after I said to the security that it was not right that I could not sit in the lounge after checking out, he got very aggressive for no need, I was not surprised I saw him like this with at least 3 guests throughout my stay. The reception staff also got involved and we're abusive. Very good place but some staff let the place down

The Day time staff is very rude behaviour and doesn't know how to converse with a customer I have seen many incidents in front of my eyes she disrespecting customers please take action against her remove her

Mostly everything. Had to go next door to a barber shop to check in. Had to argue to have my bed changed after previous renter moved on. Slept on protruding mattress springs. Room service was absent. Toilet, sink and bathroom never sanitized. Drug deals occurred daily. Balcony never cleaned. Worse place ever. Barber staff were very nice. In retrospect , what do you want for $7 USD a night.
