The comfiness of the hotel environment and the antique design really surprise me. The location of the hotel is very near to the heritage area which is within walking distance. The hotel staffs are very polite and nice too.

We loved our stay in the Antique Hotel. Our room and the hotel were beautifully furnished. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location- we were able to walk to the Old Town and beach easily.

Beautiful hotel! Staff was always at hand, if you needed anything. Room was gorgeous, lots of hot water. Location was good for walking around, many restaurants and coffee shops and the weekend market just up the street. the beautiful beaches were about a 20 min walk away.

It couldn't be helped that the building was hemmed in by two other buildings - I didn't like that but that was how all buildings in the old town were built. The beautiful decoration and warm welcome made up for that!

The place was amazing for its decoration, the room for its comfort and the staff, especially the manager, for her hospitality, welcome and attitude for service to the guests! The location was just perfect as it was walking distance to all the major sites in the old town itself.

No real daylight in even the best rooms. If you want to see the sky you must let the mosquitoes in and the air conditioning out as it’s wooden shutters only and no glass. Located slightly outside the Old Town but an easy 5-minute walk.

Rooms small, suffocating and dark, with wooden window shutters permanently closed. Not suitable for people with claustrophobia. Breakfast available only upon request on previous evening.

Right next to the old town. Uniquely superb decor in Shanghai-Chinese style of the 1930s throughout the hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful manager/owner.

Not easy to get foods at surrounding hotel area unless to old town which do not have much choice,

We felt very lucky to stay in this hotel, it’s absolutely beautiful, like staying in a historical set with all modern conveniences. The location is great for Old Town with the night market just round the corner. The room has a great shower, fridge and TV with beautiful antique decor and fine silks.

The rooms were a bit small. Also, since it is an older building, you can hear everything outside your room. Luckily, by 11 or 12, it was really quiet, so I could sleep.

Minor Issue- If you stay on the ground floor in front of reception. Early morning the sound of anyone walking or talking may wake you earlier than you may wish. But don’t let that put you off. Amazing happy place great value
