How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nice and clean hostel. Rooms are spacious, New bathroom, everything in order incl. air condition. Our host was very Kind and helpful. Would come again.

The ladies were super nice and helpful, the place is family run but at the same time super professional. The room was as clean as described. With a key fob for the outside, you felt super safe. The hotel isn't on a busy road so it is nice and quiet, but at the same time not far from the main places in Krabi Town. Excellent!

We used this hotel as a one night stopover before our flight home. It's situated about 30 ins from Krabi airport. The location is very good near the river in Krabi Town and the night market. There are also a number of bars nearby. The room was clean and of a good standard. The staff were very helpful drawing us a local map of local places to visit when we checked in. Even though we checked out at 0630 a member of staff met us and offered us coffee.

The 9th House is the best way place to stay in Krabi town. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly woman who runs the place and she gave us a detailed map of all the night markets and also helped plan our island trip from Ao Nang. What's most important about this place is the warmth of the family that runs it. We fell sick and they helped us so much. Great experience!

The stairs and the bed was a little hard but overall the value was great!
We only stayed one night because of the close proximity (walking distance) to the pier but we really enjoyed our stay. They allowed us an early check in and gave us a map of the area. There are many markets, a mall and restaurants in the area. The staff members were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was no frills but super clean.

Good location, near from the pear and the city center. Staff (mother and daughter) very friendly. Check-in time is 3 pm and not 1 pm as written on Booking.com

I liked everything
Great family run business, both mum and daughter very polite, attentive, always willing to help. They asked every day if I need anything, they were offering me every morning fresh coffee and tasty mango sticky rice. I will definitely come back! Located in a great place to explore Krabi town. Thank you!

It would be great if there was a water cooler with bottled water available instead of the plastic bottles. There was only one bedside lamp, otherwise everything was perfect.
The location was great, away from noise but a few minutes walk to shops restaurants and the pier. This family run hotel was spotlessly clean and very well run. Sightseeing Trips can be arranged with hotel pickup. The family were so friendly and helpful. I loved the sweet rice with the best coffee for breakfast.

Nothing!!! 10 stars from me!
It was a lovely experience! I had a long layover so i didnt have a proper sleep that night, but i slept so good that day and night. The facilities were immaculate! The area was perfect! The staff (the mum, the daughter and one other lady) were so helpful and kind!!! Too bad we were only staying for one night..

Nothing really.
The cleanest accommodation in our entire trip. Tia, her sister and mother run the 9th house and it was a delight. I booked a double room for myself and the bed was huge with lovely soft cotton bed covers. Air con that worked correctly, Water every day, a great location for Krabi Town. Away from the noise of Ao Nang but only a 25 minute taxi away if you want it. (500bht each way) The family are all very helpful and knowledgeable for any bookings you may need. We had a delightful stay at 9th house.

I wish there was coffee in the room but they have THE BEST coffee machine in the lobby. Probably the best coffee we had in Thailand.
Everything. So clean and great location. Great value and a real beautiful washroom! Those who visit southern Thailand know what I mean.

The owners are so lovely and helpful, really making an effort to help you out with anything you need - even arranged for different pickup by calling the tour people for us! Also provided us with tea / coffee and even some sticky rice when leaving in the morning! The rooms are basic but everything you need in the end. Prefer basic but super clean over cluttered and hiding things 👍 we would definitely go there again anytime!

The staff was very polite and helpful, gave us valuable tips. The bed was so comfortable that it was hard to get out of it! Cleanliness at the highest level and very good location. We would be happy to stay again.

Staff: Lovely family ran place. We had cash stolen in Bangkok and the owners helped us with going to the police station which we really appreciated. Room: spacious, incredibly clean, comfy and really big bed. Location: great - only a 5 min walk from the night market Facilities: nice selection of teas and biscuits in the lobby, and the owners gave us custard with sticky rice in cute little parcels every morning as a snack! A nice touch.
