How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The inside passage going up was a bit confusing.
Being right in the middle of an area with a very active night life, the room was surprisingly quiet. Close to the beach and the Walking Street.

Receptionist spoke perfect English and was very obliging, this small, dated hotel is 5 mins walk from famous 'Walking Street'. Pity the restaurant didn't provide breakfast. Baht buses run outside.

Maybe a little noisy during night as some bars in same street. This thing happen around many places in this town therefore we cannot change it. Except someone coming here to meditate I think should not be a problem. Ear plugs may help. Always carrying them whilst traveling.
Good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. I had moved to the other room leaving my credit card, country ID card and some money in a drawer. One of the cleaners found it and came to my new room to return me. Very appreciated. Very confortable rooms, nothing to say.

If you are a light sleeper, you will need earplugs because the "party" goes on nightly until around 2am

Nothing. We got what we paid for. They may consider to have option of twin beds and currently they only have kings bed which they told upfront.
Excellent location close to party places, pier, walking street, message parlours and beach road. Quiet even in the midst of partying. Staff is very helping and hospitable. Property is clean and well maintained. Bed, cooling fridge etc were functioning well and in perfect order. Overall it's a value for money deal. (Only additional things to note that it's in boyzone, while this was no issue for us consider carefully if it's a deal breaker. Also the interior and paintings are included towards the theme of location)

from the hotel: nothing. The surroundings were not so attractive, the beach was not so good, no decent restaurants nearby.
the location, in the midst of the "action", close to the beach, a huge and very nice room, excellent room service, helpful reception, I particularly appreciated the very good sound-proof windows considering that there are plenty of bars where the hotel is that become lively especially at night.

Generally, everything was good. The surroundings may be unacceptable to people with certain view points- but it's on individuals to decide whether they are ok with it.
The location of this hotel is excellent if the traveller wants easy access to walking street and the beach. But, this is a party area and the surroundings may be unacceptable to people with certain view points. So, it may be an issue for most of the family groups. Not the fault of the hotel at all- but do research on the location and make an informed decision.

This place is located in a Gay area with lot of gay clubs around. I wish some of the room decoration items could be mellowed down and made suitable for general family and children.
Suite rooms are good with a balcony and nice shower. This provides to have natural light inside the room and have a look around the area. While other rooms are average size having no nice windows.

They say its smoke free room and hotel. But room smelled of old smoke. Its seemed to be comming smoke smell from the bathroom. So probably somebody staff or residents did smoke in the air vent on a lower floor. So det smoke smell did come inn via the bathroom ventilation.
Vere central, close to walking street and beach. Very polite staff. Nice room with good bed. Mini fridge and safe. Calm and silent even it is in an noisy street.
