How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room was big with XL bed, all facilities working properly (A/C, hot water) and very clean. Linen was clean and fresh. There is always someone to assist you in the reception. Staff is hospitable, friendly and very helpful in everything you may need. Personally I had a lot of help when I had an accident (lost my moto rental key). There are two 24/7 market shops just next to it and an open market (100m away) with fresh fish and Thai cuisine. Last but not least, it is in a very good location. Close to the beach but not too close to all the 24/7 noise of main Patong beach roads. I think that this hotel is an excellent option for solo travelers and couples in Patong.

If your room faces the road, it is a little noisy, but tolerable Please note that there is no elevator

Nothing all was good.
Its very nice and relaxing stay. The hotel is well located, from there you can access most of Phuket using grab or bolt. Rooms very clean Room service daily. Rooms well equipped with fridge kettle daily coffee and tea and waters additional cookies and biscuits are provided Will come back Receptionist are very welcoming and professional.

As hotel is next to main road we will hear noise of tuk tuks music even at mid night. This is only minus. Rest everything was so nice. Breakfast not included but they provide coffee, tea and snacks.
Walkable distance from beach and night markets. Very nice and friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is good,spacious room and very clean.The owner and staff also very kind,helpful and nice..highly recommended to stay..location is ok in front of main road easy access to get tuk-tuk,taxi motorcycle..can rental motorcycle with the hotel..laundry shop,convenient store,7-eleven just beside the hotel..if want to go bangla road or patong beach just 5 minutes with motorcycle.Also can go by walking..

There is no lift but the owners carried my suitcase upstairs, water pressure is not amazing but it does the job
Such a lovely couple who run the place, very nice and helpful. The room was clean and convenient. The facilities are very basic but if u are looking for a spot close to Patong central and beach and care about cleanliness this is the place for u. Very affordable price as well

We extended our stay in Patong and stayed at The Brown Boutique again. There’s super fast reliable wifi which is important for us. We did multiple speed tests and one of the fastest was around 370 mbps download and 275 upload. The owners are very helpful, thoughtful and their service is exceptional. The bed is big and comfy, all the amenities work well and we also had a light breakfast included in the room rate to kick start the day. There’s no elevator but we got help with our luggage. There are many eateries, massage places, currency exchangers, supermarkets, markets, laundromat, pharmacies and more within easy walking distance. To get to the beach you walk down the main road that this hotel is on and you’re there. An excellent price for what you get.

It’s a walk up which I don’t necessarily mind but if your tired and on a higher floor it’s not great. They only use fans downstairs so when you come in and your hot it’s just hot until you get to your room. They are a lovely couple and very eager to help but there’s a big communication barrier they speak little to no English. With all that said I’m glad I stayed there.
The property was clean, they were so sweet, the couple are very generous with water and towels. It’s not in the very center of all the partying which I liked but you can walk to it if that’s what you want. You will hear loud music from cars going through up to middle of the night.
