we were not keen on the wet room (rather than the shower being cornered off) - that’s the only thing I can think of!

Would highly recommend it here: Short walk to the centre of pai and strip of restaurants, hotel also offer shuttle service to and from accommodation. Staff were really friendly and accommodating, always willing to help. The pool was really good, views and scenery were really nice too - overlooking fields of animals. They also have cats that roam around the accommodation. Hotel also offer scooter rental and parking of other scooters if you rent them elsewhere. Felt really safe here!

Beautiful spacious hut with lovely roof to sit on. Big comfy bed which is hard to come by in Thailand sometimes. Staff very friendly and were always there to help. Calm and quiet atmosphere without being too far from town, I use a bike but if you are walking then there’s a little steep hill to walk up but couldn’t imagine it’s too bad. Great value for money. I will stay here every time I return to pai :)

Bathroom could do with more attention, general maintenance.

The views were unreal. The lady at reception was super informative, we rented a scooter and was able to come up with an itinerary for the day based on her recommendations and were not disappointed. The room was adequate with a super comfy bed, highly recommend booking a room with aircon in the dry season. Rooftop area was nice to sit and have a drink watching the sunset over the mountains. Pool was a nice touch to cool down on the hot days. Definitely recommend renting a scooter. Property had cats which was a highlight!

Too warm at night and lots of bugs! The place is 5-10 mins away from the city centre and the roads closer to the hotel are poorly iluminated. There were some territorial stray dogs that chased our motorbike twice in the middle of the night.

This accommodation is a little piece of paradise tucked away in the countryside of Pai. The rooms were clean, spacious and cosy, and the pool was great with plenty of seating. The staff were extremely kind and even provided a pickup/drop off service from the bus stop. Highly recommend!

This was a lovely getaway in the countryside! It’s surrounded by farm land/rice terraces, so it’s very peaceful. There are rooftop balconies which allow for more private stargazing and 360 views of the property. There is easy access to the town/walking street and you can rent a motorbike onsite. The staff, and owner Jao, are very helpful and kind! Everything was wonderful.

Everything was clean. The stuff was gentle and avaluable all the time. They helped us to organize a trip around Pai, calling taxis and suggesting places to eat. The pool was amazing and clean. Hotel very quiet and chill. Sure I will come back.

Scooters to rent have seen better days - the price is fair, but they struggle in the hilly surroundings, especially with two people on the scooter.

Calm, peaceful area, surrounded by fields and mountains. It's a bit far from the town, but they offer a shuttle from the bus station. Houses are basic, but they have all that's needed and are clean. There were some small lizards on the walls sometimes but we didn't mind. The terrace on the roof is a nice touch, great to enjoy the views.

The bed was a little hard. It’s not fancy or super clean because it is older. That part I liked though. It was well done for rustic. IMO

I loved the location. Far enough from town to be bucolic and peaceful and close enough for a lively walk into town in the peaceful countryside.

We loved our stay here so much, we even extended it by 3 or 4 extra nights :) the woman who runs it is lovely and always happy to help with anything. Definitely recommend! The balcony on the roof is so cute and the view of the cows.

this is my third stay at the Countryside, I love everything about it. It’s a little out of town and still walking distance, clean, comfortable and peaceful with idyllic garden, rice fields and mountain surrounds. Jao (host) is lovely and so helpful, I will stay here again when I return

We had a lovely time at The Countryside. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Getting picked up and dropped to the bus was great. The hut was perfect - comfortable bed, good fan and a cute roof terrace. Only a ten minute walk into town or 3 minutes on a motorbike. We loved this place so much that we extended our stay :)

I stayed for 2 nights here. The staffs are very welcome and nice to us. Free simple breakfast and fruits all the time. We like the rooftop area and hammock there most. Just 10 minutes walk to the town. Will definitely stay here again if I go Pai :)) It’s worth for money too!

We absolutely loved our stay here, it was our favourite in Thailand. So much so, we kept extending our stay and wish we could have stayed longer ! Jao is an incredible host and all the staff are so friendly. The huts and the surroundings of this hotel are beautiful. It only took us 15 minutes to walk to the main town and night market. We can’t recommend this place enough!

The place is so charming! Just outside of town with amazing views and an amazing sunset. Easy walk into town or scooters available for rent from accomm. The staff were incredible and the pool was a great bonus! Very relaxing for pai’s hot afternoons.
