beautiful hotel on the river with electrical power, bean there for one day and it was enough for me to explore almost everything. great place to go as a couple for 1-3 days

I miss that they removed the pontoon up river allowing guests to jump in the river and float the full length of the resort. Now you must access the river from your own room.

This is a special Thailand experience. I have lived here 20 years as a foreigner and rank this experience in my top three. But it’s not for everyone and don’t expect it’s a top tier city 5 star. It is remote and will take a min 4 hours from Bangkok ( forget google estimates). When you come to this resort and unless you have transport you need to be prepared to stay there as there are no other options for entertainment, eating or convenience store type supplies. Put that aside and if you love scenery, swimming, rafting, relaxing and a quiet setting you will love it. Prices in the restaurant are very reasonable but don’t expect a 5 star menu in the jungle. Finally please also note it’s not for young children as all rooms have direct access to the river.

The steps up and down to the hotel are awful, something needs to be done about that - and how about the poor staff who have to carry luggage up and down every day. Not only is it very tiring, must be virtually impossible for the elderly, it is also a high safety risk. Rooms are very highly priced. Many of the staff in the restaurant were very unfriendly, most were not Thai, which is not an issue, they should be better trained. Similarly with the check out, paid the bill, barely a thank you, and certainly no wishes to see us back at the hotel

The bedroom and facilities were excellent, sitting right by and on the river was exactly what I wanted and more than met my expectations. The restaurant food was pretty good, also liked happy hour. Breakfast was better than dinner with a good choice of everything. The staff who carried the luggage up and down those stairs deserve a medal !!! Still always had a smile. I am sure they get tipped well, and deserve every baht.

I found it quite difficult to get in and out of the long tail boat. If the management could take seniors into consideration would be good.

I liked the peaceful and quiet atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A bit expensive for what it is. The sister hotel 300m away is less than half the price per night, although the rooms aren't directly on the water. Food, etc, is also much cheaper. In hindsight, we would have done one night at each for the experience. The wifi was also very problematic. I can understand low speed due to location, but we lost connection at least 10x a day.

Very nice place in the jungle. The staff were *amazing* for the most part, and breakfast was delicious. Floating down the river was fun. The room was large, and the bed was comfortable. A very quiet spot.

I do experience some discomfort around the receptionist , I just think they are not really friendly , is it only me experience this? I been to a lot of resort but this is the only resort I felt that way , other than that the Float House River Kwai resort is an excellent place to relax and enjoy . Thank you

We absolutely loved Float House River Kwai. The whole experience was charming & relaxing with great food. The bed was super comfortable & the staff was wonderful. We hope to return for longer next year.

One of the cars services called by hotel picked us up in an open pickup truck where we sat in the back for an hour trip to Erawan falls . Short trip would be no problem . But perhaps there was no other choice , it was difficult to figure it out, be sure to ask . Otherwise everything connected with hotel was fantastic .

One of a kind experience ; a hotel and the individual rooms literally float on the river . The rooms are large, with rustic charm ; and with a private deck to watch the flowing river go by . Very tranquil and meditative . Some of the reviews talk about mosquitos; we sat out all afternoon and didn’t have an issue . No different than sitting by any other body of water . Waitstaff were really great and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect . Food was pretty good , not memorable , but we are here for the location and experience . We arrived by both boat and car ; boat is much easier and faster actually ; but arriving by car is not not a problem ; there are a lot of stairs , but staff came to help us with our suitcases no problem . Front desk can organize day trips and cars to take you to various sites .

Loved the location and the peacefulness of the property. Food was good. Drinks were good. Staff was excellent. Spacious rooms with many places to sit and enjoy the river. A wonderful sense of calm after the frenetic pace of Bangkok.

The Float House was a Perfect Place to relax. The bed was extra comfortable & the gentle rocking of the water provided a great night sleep. The staff was lovely & the Bkfst & dinner buffets were plentiful & delicious.

The 1/2 day excursion we should have done on our own as came through the town, Kanchannubori, with museum, graves and bridge the previous day so felt silly we hadn’t just stopped and done those places. 2250 b pp felt steep although lunch was good and the guide was very good too. The graves are wonderfully kept and it is quite moving to see…….

Loved the huge rooms and uniqueness of the float house hotel. Beds were very comfortable, hot showers and breakfast was great. Bring your own wine/beer and with on your balcony and watch the river, boats etc.
