One point, although not super important: Sadly, there was no possibility to have a massage there so we had to go to other resorts.

Very clean! It is the only resort with the pool for ppl who enjoy this feature, we didn't use it. Especially nice for ppl who enjoy the "community" feeling.

My goodness as soon as the boat hit the sand on Kho Kradan beach we knew we were in paradise. White sandy beach with crystal clear waters and neighbouring islands on the near horizon The reef resort was purely delightful- a wonderful informative checkin from Genta, a lovely room metres from the beach and a perfectly chilled atmosphere. The snorkelling was amazing- just an 80 metre swim to the reef and so many tropical fish! A 20 min walk to sunset beach on the west coast and an early rise for the sunrise on the beach at the resort- totally incredible Kalume next door does great Italian food but the food and service at the reef resort was amazing. Jack and his staff totally understood severe fish and nut allergies and everything was safe and catered for. Genta was above and beyond; we forgot and lost stuff on our transfer and she found and safely stored them for onward transmission. An absolutely idyllic resort with amazing staff- we wished we had booked longer. Genta and Jack are the stars of the Reef and their staff are so friendly! We miss it and them already

A couple of things in the room could be improved such as the bathroom door as it has to be slammed to shut it properly. The outside doors are very fiddly to lock.

Location is excellent, rooms are on the small side, but there is plenty of storage space. The staff are all so friendly, especially with my little girl, made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. Pool is a great temperature , plenty of sunbeds on the beach and around the pool. Free use of snorkels, flippers and kayaks which was an added bonus.

For us it was a perfect place, because it is quiet and relaxed. But if you are looking for parties and entertainment, than this island will be too remote and somewhere else will be more suitable.

We had a perfect holiday at the Reef Resort. Management and staff are very attentive and we had the impression that they have a good atmosphere among the team. When the staff is happy and relaxed, it is easy to feel welcome. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and the aircon was working well and not too loud. The bathroom is outside, which for us was suitable for a remote island where almost everything happens outside. The resort provided us with snorkeling masks that were clean and worked well. They also provide kayaks and SUPs for their guests. They have a small restaurant on the beach. The view is just stunning. Breakfast buffet was included and considering the fact that they have to carry everything from the mainland by boat there was a good choice of food (toast, croissants, asian warm dishes, eggs, pancakes, fruit, granola, yoghurt, bacon and sausages, and probably more things that I forgot). As the manager Genta is Italian, they also serve a good and strong coffee. The Thai dishes they serve for lunch and dinner were all very tasty and the vegetables were fresh. Other restaurants on the island also used canned vegetables instead, therefore I mention it. There are not many vegetarian dishes on the menu, but they could prepare almost all the dishes also in a vegan or vegetarian way. The resort also offers day trips to neighboring islands which are operated by their own staff. We went to Kho Rok and to the Emerald Cave at Kho Muk. Both trips were very much worth it and everything was well organized. We also had booked the transfer from Trang and back via the resort. Everything was on time and went smoothly, we would do that again. The other guests at the resort were quite relaxed. There were both Thai and Western guests which I liked. There were families and couples, everybody enjoying themselves but without being too noisy or disturbing others. That made me especially like the atmosphere of the whole place.

Genta and Jack made us feel very welcome and all of the staff are very friendly. The reef which is easy to swim to from the beach (in mid-high tide) is excellent for snorkelling – it’s like swimming in an aquarium! They also offer free snorkels/masks/fins and kayaks to use… The rooms are very comfortable and cleaned daily. Air con works well. The rooms are all attached to each other, so if there was a noisy neighbour, you would clearly hear it. The pool is nice and cleaned 2 x day. Food is good – this island is more expensive to eat/drink than others but the food and other restaurants are all good quality. The walk to sunset beach through the jungle trail is easy and the beach there is perfect to watch the sunset. It’s worth mentioning that the cicadas are very noisy (a continuous loud screeching noise) and last for a few hours from mid-afternoon til about 6.30pm but after day 1 you get used to it. We stayed for 3 nights and felt that this was the perfect length of time to enjoy the resort and the island. There are no shops or ATM’s so bring cash but most resorts accept card payments. We would highly recommend Reef Resort and thank all of the staff for a lovely stay!

Genta and the rest of the Reef Team welcome guests like old friends. We were given a beach bag with snorkel gear and invited to sit down for a drink at the restaurant as soon as we stepped off the long tail boat onto the beach. There is plenty of shade on the beach and excellent snorkeling right in front of the property. The restaurant served delicious Thai food as well as some Italian favorites. We enjoyed the island vibes and intimate feel due to the small size and location.

If I have to say something, rooms are next each other with some lack of privacy (but it was not an issue). And maybe it needs some maintenance, my shower was not the best.

This is a nice place managed by an amazing lady. She takes time to take care of everyone, and helps a lot to make everything easy. Thanks to her I has a wonderful stay. The location is perfect!
