Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI never found the pool.
I spent a night at the September Salaya and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the location - it's near the university, so there are lots of small cafes and convenience stores within walking distance, but it's also far enough from the bars to be quiet. My room was clean and the air condition did a good job of chilling the space. There was some wear and tear on the furniture, but nothing off-putting. It's a little complicated getting to public transportation, so make sure you check where you need to go. The only thing for international travelers to note is that this is *NOT* near the airports at all. You will need to think about how you're going to travel to and from Bangkok if you're staying here.

United KingdomFirst morning cleaning lady knocked and then opened door at 9am - as I was resting ! She retreated, but essential to put 'do not disturb' sign on door. Also they ask for a 500 bhat deposit (it is student accomadation!).The sofa in the rom had definitely been in student digs as had a fair few stains on it ! But otherwise room was clean. Bed could have been more comfortable. Average AC unit, was a bit noisy. Despite late check-in, and place not being busy, if I wanted to do a late check-out before 6pm they would charge an entire extra day/night.
This is essentially student accommodation, in a kind of private student halls of residence. Having stayed in similar at conferences around the world, I was not expecting 4* luxury ! I hired this room as I was visiting my son who is at Uni In Bangkok and living in the same block. The rooms are basic, functional. Clean bedding and towels. A fridge provided which is useful. Had a Tv but only a few channels worked. I came and went a few times, so stayed in 2 different rooms. They were very accommodating of check-in out of hours (obvs notified in advance). Nice cafe downstairs for a morning coffee. At price paid it delivers what is needed. Lots of food options around.

ThailandOnly one tiny observation: shower curtain could be replaced more often.
This place ticks all the boxes some big hotels can't. Quiet efficient aircon, comfy bed, large refrigerator, kitchen area with small table and 2 chairs, small sofa, good shower with plenty of hot water. The electronic security system was good.

NorwayIt is very close to Mahidol University and is the best choice for new student. The environment of the room and the service of the staff are very good. There is a 711, snack street in front of the hotel, everything is very convenient.

United KingdomI'm not down grading the rating because of this but people need to be aware there is a building site right next door they are building a shopping complex and apartments due to be completed sumer/spring 2023 the work force work 7 days a week early morning to 7pm ish and if you are a light sleeper and your apartment is facing the site sleep will be an issue we beleave this should be mentioned on adverts so people can see before they book Also the swimming pool area needs some attension it's not like the photos and needs finishing off not a great area to relax
Great apartment the location was great for what we come to do staff really helpful and friendly lots of places to eat abf close to night markets

ThailandSwimming pool closure was dissapointing. I particularly filtered accomodation with swimming pools on booking.com only to find that the pool where I booked was closed due to building work. During checkin no one told me the pool was closed. When I complained that I had paid a premium for use of the pool I was just told "sorry". However, communication was much more direct when I was called by reception before checking out and told that I would be charged an extra B100 for each hour I continued to occupy the room. The accomodation rooms were of a good size but they were old and the furniture was tatty.
Location is close to Mahidol University. Lots of places to eat outside the hotel.
