Nice spacious bungalows. lovely balcony with hammock and relax area. good strong A/C. garden view and rooster sound! this place belongs to the most amazing restaurant with sunset view and life music also fabulous food. Super friendly owner! love the art in the garden! will come back for sure!

Cute, cosy, comfortable, sustainable, clean bungalow with plenty of space in the middle of a lovely garden. I liked the little details and hospitality which adds on to the already existing homey feeling. Location is just perfect, close enough to town and all the beach points, also on the quieter side which is definitely a bonus. Kind and helpful staff who were so kind to reschedule my booking due to ferry cancellation. 🙏❣️ Merci Alcove, totally recommend.

Loved my stay at Alcove. Everything was nice and clean. would definitely go back. The bungalows are very close to the beach and many nice restaurants and bars. I also loved that it was next door to an amazing yoga studio and every morning and afternoon I went for yoga classes. There is also a very nice restaurant/bar belonging to the same property and the vibes were great.

AC could have been a bit more quiet but that is the only thing to mention

Kind staff, AC and frigo worked, clean apartments, and the coolest&biggest gecko were staying under our roof :) Water refilling at reception was just superb especially next to the jungle :) Water pressure was great, paddle board and snorkeling gear can be borrowed at reception (another great point!)

Beautiful bungalow very close to the beach. The bungalow was perfect, with all the necessities, very clean and beautiful furnitures! We actually had a problem with our AC, but the owner were very quick at answering and trying to fix the issue, we even received a refund for the inconvenience. Highly appreciated and this shows how much they care for their guests! You must also try their restaurant, a gem of the island! highly recommended!

Top of the comment for the staff who are amazing. The rooms are spacious and very cozy, with many little ambience lights all over it. The place is really nice, it makes you feel you're almost in the jungle while you're right by the beach! I was already happy enough when I got to the restaurant, found a really nice live music show and an absolutely wonderful food... Not expected at all, they really made my day!!!! Very grateful!!!

The bungalows are on the road side but still very close to the beach; the beach itself is very long and ideal for walks but not ideal for swimming, however there are plenty of great beaches nearby.

We spent a brilliant week at Alcove. The staff were all super friendly, the room was nice and spottlessly clean, and we loved the balcony looking out to the garden (especially the comfy hammock!). The Alcove restaurant is also fantastic, plus there are many other places around (walking distance). Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely bungalows in an idyllic setting just off the beach, with a wonderful restaurant opposite with entertainment, wine and live music. I found the bungalows super luxurious, beautiful decor, lovely touches like a waterfall shower and lovely smelling shampoo and conditioner, all the things are there to make your stay very comfortable - even little things like insect repellant outside on the porch and lots of hangers in the room. I spent a lot of time relaxing in my hammock with their very friendly cat, waiting for the rain to pass. Generally, a wonderful place to stay, and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming - they went out of their way to check-in and invite me to see the live music, which as a solo traveller I really appreciated!

Needs one more bright light inside the room to read at night time. Shower a little weak but still usable.

All in all, a really pleasant surprise!! Very good value for money. Very friendly staff and happy to accommodate our few requests. Close to the main road but calm and peaceful in the bungalows and on the balcony, location is great for food and amenities. Very nice garden full of birds and butterflies. Some very friendly local dogs and cats to greet you 🙂 We visited the restaurant on a previous visit which is also nice.

we were unlucky because during our stay the tides were very low and there was no ocean or it was ankle deep so we couldn’t swim. the staff were really helpful when they were about but unfortunately there was no one to help us on our first day and we had no idea what was where. if you know the island and have transport this is a great place to stay, but if you’re not renting a moped it’s really hard to get around the island and taxi’s are ridiculously expensive for Thailand. so just consider that. we had to go elsewhere because of the tides. The restaurant is fantastic. might be best to book. The mosquito net had loads of holes in it and there are a lot of bugs. I had to put tape over the holes. I enjoyed it overall though.

It was a challenge to have a shower, water was very little 5 mins shower takes 20 minutes as the water was very weak. We have informed the reception about it they said they will get it checked but they did notn fix it during our 3 day stay. If i would have stayed longer i would be very upset but wasnt bothered too much as it was only 3 days.. bathroom was horrible, sink tap was not stable it was moving right and left when turning on the tap Also air conditionning was very very loud, it sounded like there was an helicopter in the room. I guess it was old and not maintained well. Same as the mini bar fridge... it was very loud during the night so we had to take off the plug. Lastly, our room door handle was lose, we did not feel secure, it would be very easy to break the handle and enter the room, we had to carry our valuables with us because of this reason when we are not in the room. The owner really has to fix above facilities especially the shower and air con.

I felt the room did not have enough power points to charge electronics and my multibox in the room was broken. There was no safe but a daily clean, they said the cleaning lady was trustworthy which was so true but it still made me uncomfortable. The bed was the worst, I could feel the springs and the bass from the restaurant across the road was loud, I has to sleep with earplugs in every night.

Cute place and loved the outdoor furniture. Great for relaxing and listening to music or reading. It was not a swimming beach but they did provide paddle boards which was cool.
