Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe location is not central (a plus or a minus, depending on how you see it), and a taxi to the hotel is not cheap. Considering this, renting a motorbike when you arrive on the island is a good way to save money and allow you to explore around the resort.
Beautiful grounds with amazing breakfast. This truly felt like a retreat in paradise. The staff are thoughtful and attentive, and do their best to make your stay exceptional.

United KingdomSlightly out of the way but that is part of its charm. We would of felt a bit isolated if we didn’t hire a scooter but if you want to relax in the resort it’s lovely and they do do daily trips to the beach and waterfalls.
Very relaxing environment surrounded by nature in a very quiet area of the surroundings. Comfortable beds and nice pool area and restaurant.

NetherlandsThe quality and consistency of the food were pretty hit and miss. The same dish could be prepared completely differently every time. Also, take the ingredients (especially the vegetables) written on the menu with a grain of salt. The food we had wasn't necessarily bad, it just wasn't great. Also, we had an ant colony pass through our room at night. Wooden huts in the jungle, I know, what are the odds... 😅 After addressing it the next morning, immediate action was taken by housekeeping, which was commendable. The issue wasn't entirely resolved, but we appreciated the prompt action. It's important to stress though that these issues hardly had any impact on our enjoyment.
Such a lush and relaxing place. Absolutely loved our stay. Kayaking through the mangroves, reading in our hammock, going for an afternoon swim. We didn't come for a detox or for yoga, but we still thoroughly enjoyed unwinding at the Spa.

NetherlandsThey didn't always have everything on the menu in the restaurant. They could maybe tell or put a sticker over the dishes that were not available. And it's a bit expensive.
Everything, the smell, the room, the pool, the food.

DenmarkVery expensive massage prices. And expensive getting there because not many tourists go to that side of the island. I wish a shuttle bus/taxi to and from the pier was included in the price.
Really great and relaxing spot! Nice room, nice little pool, good dinner at the restaurant. We rented a scooter, price was a little high but it’s a fun way to explore the island. Friendly staff.

United KingdomThe restaurant staff were lovely and the food good, but the service was very slow. The room was clean including the linen, but perhaps could have benefited from a spring clean. Maybe offer a slightly later departure for transfers to Trat airport, which is tiny. I arrived 3 hours early and check in not open for another hour so it was a lot of time to kill before anything opened.
This place was a little piece of paradise! I stayed here two nights in the treehouses with a pool - I fully recommend the splurge. Yes the property is a little further out and maybe not the best location to visit the beaches (I'd recommend splitting your time on both sides), but it was so nice to be surrounded by nature and tranquility and that's what makes it so special. Luckily the spa does provided bikes and kayaks and has rental scooters so you can get around (it's an easy 15 min bike ride to the fisherman's village) and there is a small restaurant and store 5 mins walk away. The spa also offers a full range of activities - I did the mangrove walk and light house tour which was a great way to see local nature and way of life, as well as daily yoga (they also have space with mats available). I'd recommend the spa (massage and steam room). Staff were also reactive in organising spa appointments, transfers and activities ahead of arrival.

United StatesLoved everything but it’s good to know that a lot of the service offered is geared toward folx experiencing a cleanse. Those folx didn’t look as satisfied as the rest of us! Cheers to self improvement.
Everything! It’s remote but has everything you need. There are some free excursions but a fair amount of extra they offer are a cost. The kayaks and bikes aren’t extra, and were great for exploring. There’s not a lot of traffic on the road so riding a bike is chill. We had a villa with its own pool! And the food was incredible. Everyone was very nice.

It's a quiet and peaceful place to stay. The rooms are clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a swimming pool, lots of trees, plants (they have their own garden, they grove herbs and vegetables for guests. You can find here a mangrove forest with free kayak, also free bicycles to look around. Also, you can rent a scooter here (350 b 24 hrs) if you want to explore Ko Chang. There is a restaurant, the food is good, delicious coffee and other drinks/coctails.Choice of breakfast in the early morning is better.

We loved everything. The location in the less developed eastern part means you are secluded and this is what I wanted. Some reviewers here seem surprised it’s far -do your research while booking so you know where you are going. The hut was comfortable and clean. I like the fact that they are aiming to be sustainable. There are baths etc. but I guess when it first opened the understanding of sustainability was different. The place is located in the jungle and you will wake up to the sounds of nature. It was a wonderful stay for us. We extended from 4 to 6 nights to fully chill out. You can rent a scooter for 350 a day - return the keys as soon as you don’t want it any more to avoid further charges. Yoga classes are available at a cost of 400. The massages start from 600 baht. There are noticed in reception-read carefully to avoid disappointment. Breakfast spread is varied and even a vegan can find food for themselves -which is often difficult. The restaurant food was nice. If you want to try other options, there are many restaurants around that might be cheaper. We are happy to mix. The best part of the experience is the staff -humble and happy to help, even with at times limited English. Some say the place lacks professionalism, I think it does not-it often comes down to the management of our expectations. The hotel taxi from the pier costs 500 and the ride is about 20-25 mins. Do your research and enjoy your stay!

IrelandI am a vegan and have always found delicious vegetarian food at breakfast, thank you! But I would have been happy to try some delicious dishes if they didn't include curry chicken and some vegetables looked delicious, but I couldn't taste them(. I think vegetarians often stay in such a hotel - would we be happy with more vegetarian dishes for breakfast💚
We stayed at this hotel a year ago. We liked it and we returned) Wonderful staff, caring for nature and people, comfortable clean rooms, unique green area, breakfasts have become even more diverse and useful)). Wonderful outdoor spaces for yoga and meditation practices. You can attend group yoga with Olivia every day (except Monday) (morning from 8 to 9) or practice on your own, go through an individual detox program. There is also a program of activities outside the hotel for every day, there is a transfer to the beaches of the island. We really like the mangrove forests- the beaches of the hotel, kayaking is a great pleasure to move through the shady green backwaters. The rooms have comfortable mosquito nets and aroma lamps with natural mosquito repellent - all this makes your stay very calm and relaxed.

Czech RepublicBeautiful and peaceful resort just beside the mangrove forest. Though you have to take in account the resort is on the not much touristic east side of Koh Chang and there's no beach nearby, no ATM and almost no shops. But the ressort rents motorbike for 350 BHT a day and also offers few free activities (free shuttle to the beach twice a week, free kayak renting, free bicycle). The massage and spa services there are great.
