Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenPillows was too big and hard for my taste. The room felt a bit steril and dull.
Not shabby not chic. Just a place to rest your head. It's clean and in a good location. Plus there was a nice little nightmarket around the corner. In the reception you can buy snacks and cheap beer👍

PolandNot a first time I stayed there. It's clean and comfy but it's still a budget hotel so don't expect nice decor. There's a fridge and a kettle in a room and the wifi worked okay! Great location.

SloveniaBed was hard as a rock. Old furniture, feels like prison. Receptionist was not very welcoming. There is elevator only every 2 floors.
Price was really low, it was clean and close to train station if you are going to koh lipe.

PolandIt would be nice to have an electric kettel in the room.
It's a great place to stay one or few nights in the center of Trang. Rooms are rather spacious and comfortable. The design is old so the hotel has a little bit of a dusty vibe but it's my second time staying here and I cannot complain. There is a little fridge in each room and fully functioning AC. The water heater works properly and the bed is super comfy. The neighbourhood is quiet but expect some train honk and beep sounds in the morning. Night market in the weekends right around the corner. Inernet connection outstanding. Hotel staff super nice.

United KingdomThe hotel was super close to the train station, shops and a cool weekend night market. There was also parking for motorbikes and a hire place around the corner. The hotel also had a lift which was nice to see for others who may struggle with mobility meaning this hotel is more accessible for all.

United KingdomLocking door turned off power so couldn't charge my devices while I was out and felt slightly unsafe when I was in (there was a chain lock). Annoying hum coming from this system so when there was power there was a constant buzz. Cockerels making noise outside.
Big room with good bed. Bathroom clean and shower sufficient. Excellent location. Nice staff. Free bicycle hire. Amazing vegan cafe around the corner.

MalaysiaNothing really. It's an old hotel so I expected to find things dated. Not a big issue
The room is spacious and clean. It's an old hotel with rather basic and dated furnishings, but it's been well-maintained. I do like its old world charm... The proximity to the weekend night market is a huge plus point.

New ZealandI was pleasantly surprised with how impeccably clean the premises are, for an old building, the tiles literally shine, and the bathrooms are also super clean. Its a little dated, but its authentic and value for money. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and I was able to wash laundry onsite for 20b, and utilize the top floor covered drying area, this was a massive bonus made me like the place more. Water refill & Hot Water Coffee station in the Lobby, there is motor bike hire near by, and a great stop point to explore Trang

PhilippinesThe wifi in my room is not excellent, but it's more of a position problem. There are places in the room where the connection is spotty. However, if in the right location, the wifi is good enough for one to carry on with a video-conference call via Zoom.
Station hotel's strong point is its location. It's just about 200-m away from the train station. On Fridays and the weekend, the front of the train station doubles as a night market. There are two morning markets within the area. A few metres away is the old town area of Trang. Christ Church (a Trang landmark) is also nearby. This is a no frills hotel, with very friendly staff. The cleaner was very kind to me, and always sees to it that my room is stuffed with the essentials they provide, including two bottles of water daily. Snacks and cold beverages are available for sale at the front desk.
