Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe pool area was quite small & the design left very few places for the hotel to arrange the sun loungers so it was always difficult trying to find even couple of beds together for our family of 4. The pool was also mostly left unattended so there was no one to keep an eye on the fairly standard selfish behaviour of groups taking random beds (one in the sun on one side, one in the shade on the other side etc) & this left lots of other groups, not just ours, waiting for people to use their common sense & release a bed. The deck over the oriental pond by the restaurant looked a bit tired & there were workmen replacing some of the rotten/worn boards during our stay.
The rooms were lovely. The main restaurant down by the beach was nicely laid out & served a really good mixture of Western & Thai dishes & the staff were all really friendly. We had a couple of really nice dishes here that we didn't see in too many other places around Krabi. The view to the 'forest of islands' just off shore was worth all the money to stay here. We also liked the monitor lizards wandering around the lawned area between the 2 restaurants just in front of the beach.

PortugalTruly hard to find one thing, but I'd suggest to the hotel to put some sockets by the bed to charge the phones during the night. The existing sockets are not near the bed.
This hotel looks like it was taken from a movie scene. If you're looking for partying, night clubs and buzz with friends, don't come here, as there is nothing to do after 10pm. But if you're looking for some peace, quiet, meditation, relaxation, 10/10 this is the place to come to. Framed by tropical forest, on one side, and by a paradisiac beach on the other, you feel immersed in some sort of Blue Lagoon movie. The hotel is small sized, not many rooms which allows the perfect conditions for a restful and peaceful stay. The breakfast is served in a gorgeous restaurant on the beach where you can contemplate the sea with the scenic longtail boat. When I thought this would only be result of photoshoped pictures, this hotel just proved me wrong. Cleanliness is of the highest standards. The room is gorgeous, super comfy and the bed is amazing. There is free Nespresso coffee in the room (important, as it's not so common in Asia). If you like asian (and in particular thai) food, you must try the hotel restaurants. Food is superb, delicious and (despite no being cheap according to Thailand standards) it is still cheap as per european standards. There is also italian restaurant with very good pasta, risotto and pizzas (surprisingly). Finally, and most important of all, the service is truly 5 stars. All the staff is so delicate, so kind, so humble. They will always stop what they are doing to say hello as you pass by and they will do anything to solve any query you have. On our particular case, we had a big issue upon arrival in the airport, where we were left with no taxi and no option to come to the hotel, at night (as Krabi goes to sleep at 10pm) and Tubkaak managed to get us a taxi in 20min. To the hotel: never cease to provide highest standards of service. Summary: I've been to many 5 stars hotels but this is definitely the best hotel and best holidays I've ever had in my life. Strongly recommend.

United KingdomWe were disappointed with the scuba diving trip we went on, using the leaflet in the hotel's guide. They may wish to update their recommendations as the trip was not as safe and the diving area less interesting than others we have been on in Thailand.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they work so very hard to make your stay enjoyable. We were helped a lot to book different excursions and activities. The hotel was very accommodating in meeting my gluten intolerance needs, and I was served a large range of different breakfasts that I could eat. The main breakfast is also exceptional. The views from the restaurant were great! Lots of nice touches to celebrate our honeymoon.

TurkeySince it is a resort hotel that you pay much more than standards in Thailand, i believe it should offer more service/benefit. But the situation is opposite. They charge twice as much for services such as airport shuttle, which I think should be free. The hotel wants 1500 baht while the taxi takes you for 700 baht for instance. Or booking Hong Island visit via agent costs 1500 baht while hotel asks 3000 baht. Apart from that, please be aware that the hotel is extremely calm and more family oriented. I was trying to relax so I was ok with it but if you are solo traveler, you should think twice before booking because the hotel is all for couples and families.
Staff was amazing. They are helpful, extremely friendly. Hotel's architecture is also great. Since it is on coastline, whole ambiance was really romantic.

ThailandI stayed here for 2 nights. The beach is stunning, I think is the the best of this property. The first night there was a bit of a problem in the bathroom. It's understandable, but the hotel's responsibility is far above expectations, made me very impressed. The Italian restaurant here is very good. we have a table near the beach which very beautiful view. The pizza is very delicious. Everything is so good. My kids still talk about the pizza there. The staffs are lovely and attentive to everyone. At night there are mosquitoes. But the hotel is located near the mountain. and a lot of trees It's normal to have mosquitoes. Overall, I really like it. Definitely come back.

United KingdomHotel could have laid on a few more activities and taxi / minibus services to nearest town were a bit limited. Pay for food and services were a little pricey but there are a few other options to try nearby.
Staff, food and accommodation all excellent. Food was high quality although clearly priced for relatively affluent tourists. Complementary dinner on last night a very pleasant surprise. Great pool and lovely beach if it wasn't for the damn jellyfish....sea views were amazing.

United StatesThe prices for food at the restaurants were quite high for what you got, but I think that is in line with other resort properties. Sometimes we asked for spicy food, but it was not received when we ordered.
We loved the location, property, and staff. The location might not be for all, as it is not near town, but that was not an issue for us as we wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of town. Our room was big and had a private plunge pool that we liked to use after working out at the gym or hiking up the nearby trail. I don't think the size description of the room was quite accurate, but it was enough space nonetheless. The property was very convenient for us as we could hire out a boat right on the beach and had 2 restaurants. If we were staying longer, I could see us getting tired of the food options, but there were a couple of other restaurants near by at other properties we could walk to along the beach.

United KingdomFood a little expensive when compared to other areas but seafood shack down the beach was also an option. We took the shuttle to Ao Nang night market but wished we hadn't as it felt less authentic than the other parts of Thailand we had visited but may be to some peoples taste.
Stunning hotel in a beautiful setting. Always enough places to chill either by the pool or on the beanbags on the beach. We had a Seaview room and enjoyed our sunbeds in the shade in the morning. Lovely massage. Took a trip to Hong Island and another kayaking in the mangroves at sunset which was fun.
