- At first glance it looks very elegant and beautiful but behind the facade there are many small defects. - they needed 4 days to vacuum a dusty pool. i'm a trained pool technician and i know that it would take max 3 hours to do this kind of job. but their pool guy was the slowest person i've ever seen working. so i couldn't use the pool for most of my stay. - came back at 11pm to see that my room was flooded by water from the aircon. so i had to sit 2 hours in my room at night to watch someone fix the aircon. 4 hours later the aircon completely died. at least they gave me a new room for my last night - manager was very friendly but some of the other staff not so much

- really nice pool area - beautiful garden - nice balcony - some of the staff members very friendly - great location, 1 minute to the beach, restaurants etc. 5 minutes to Soi 6

I love the Tropicana. There is nothing I don’t like. It is a great hotel for a good price right across from the beach with a great restaurant right beside it!

I actually like a soft bed and pillow. The beds are medium hard. Pillows not bad. The linens are very clean and fresh. The staff are amazing!

Dated 60s hotel, not maintained, cobwebs everywhere, needed painting, bathrooms needed a revamp. Deep end of the pool not cleaned.

Had 3rd floor rooms with elderly mother Request for room change ignored with “full hotel” excuse. Even with many checkouts and new arrivals daily

I paid for late checkout however the staff plain out denied and asked me to contact Booking.com which was of no help. The staff was rude to all the guests and making fun of them in their local language. When we asked a local bystander he let us know that . Great location rude staff. And you cannot do anything if they deny you service or ask what you paid for. Their administrative staff is also dicey as they said that they have not posted late checkout as such on Booking.com. whereas I accepted more expensive room booking as on that booking they were having late checkout. Booking.com agent did her best to help me but the staff were not responding to her.

I do not like the hotel. It is very, very old. The furniture is dirty and the sheets are very old. I slept in my clothes and old, torn towels. I did not shower during my stay and I was staying for one night. I left the first morning.

Very very dirty.. the pillows and bed covers smelled like vomit, ripped, and had stains on them.. cupboards broken..AC does not work and if you dare complain about any of it, the staff activate their bitch mode and start ignoring you completely without even replying to any of your requests .worst stay ever

the website shows rooms around large central pool, does not show cabana rooms, which is where I was first told I would stay. which was a concrete dessert.

Had to move rooms three times before one with WIFI, staff stated half the hotel rooms have broken wifi and"boss" will not pay to have repaired. Final room tv had more snow than Mt Everest. Could not open or use balcony as there was a swarm of bees nesting and were there all week. Many of the safe deposit boxes at reception broken so box did not match room number. Mosquitoes in room and squashed mosquito marks all over walls. No elevator to upper floor. Overall hotel badly needs lots of repairs and maintainance.

The cleanness still has some hair in bathroom when we checked in and smell bad inside the room also the bed they say extra big but it actually two beds connected!!!!!

We book 5 rooms in total including with friends, all rooms need major rehabilitation. Curtains are not clean. Bed linens need changing to a new style. Going to the rooms needs a lot of walking as there is no lift.
