due to the hotel being on the main road it's a bit noisy, also the downside was there's nothing around the area, you have to park on the main road

Location was a bit out of the centre and we had to take taxis whenever we went out for dinner but I am so happy to have stayed at Vela Warin that it was a small price to pay for an amazing stay.

Beautifully renovated older property with very large comfortable tastefully decorated clean rooms. The owner and staff were so helpful to us during our stay. The breakfast was over the top - so much good food and great coffee.

Some of the group found traffic disturbing. Most were not bothered. Would be nice to be able to order drinks in the evening.

Teak floors, redone interior with design. Thai house atmosphere.The greatest breakfast. Real coffee, low jazz playing in background, pick a breakfast thai or western. Fruits are delicately served as is the breakfast chinees doughnuts ( pataco)with sweet milk❤️. It is just on the other side of the river from Ubon. Nice garden patio. Big rooms, with high ceilings.

Could be noisy as it is on a major junction (ear plugs provided by the hotel). Main issue is that the bar/restaurant closes at 5pm. This was very inconvenient for hotel guests which gave it a feeling of a B&B.

The room is great and I really love the style. It’s so beautiful and clean. Also, the staff provided wonderful services to take care of you and make sure you are comfortable. I went to a monastery which is a bit far away, they helped me call taxi so that I could go back to the hotel. Overall, 10/10 and I wish I could stay longer.

I love the room, cleanliness and fabulous breakfast. The cleanliness of the room is beyond expectation, also very comfortable beddings and pillows. Bathroom is very nice and cozy. Breakfast is more than full and variety.

Personal preference is that the hot water doesn’t get hot enough but I take really hot showers. So this is just a personal preference.

Had the best experience at this hotel. It is very cute and cozy. All staff were so nice and such a pleasure throughout the stay. Would definitely come back!

I would suggest a few more blackout curtains in the front room on the 3rd floor. Great windows but a lot of light. The staff kindly provided us with an extra window covering. This also isn’t the hotel for super sensitive sleepers due to a busy road in front. We were fine and the hotel kindly provides everyone with earplugs. Ubon is perhaps most frequently a stopover destination for Western tourists - we stayed 2 nights. The charming building and super hospitable owner and his resourceful staff compensated for any niggles with the location. Also fab papaya salad and roast chicken from the lovely lady cooks across the street- modest but fabulous!

The architectural refurbishment of this old Thai house is fantastic. The owner is charming and helpful and speaks excellent English. His staff is very helpful and resourceful and their English is coming along.

As the building was renovated to be hotel, some facilities are restricted, such as a very small bathroom, no elevator etc. Tried to watch TV but seem like there was no signal.

Beautifully renovated old wooden building. A labour of love. Twin rooms down stairs are good. Breakfast delicious.

We were perfectly happy, surely come back to stay again on next occasion, and then also try f&b there, which looked promising.

We just stayed for one night but we really enjoyed it. People working there are very friendly and helpful. Everyone seems to be proud to be working there and run the place - rightfully so. The building is a gem, it always has been in the hand of the family until today and the current owners renovated the whole building and compound in a tasteful mixture to an old building substance which has been modernized in every necessary aspect. It´s a perfect place for those who don´t just want to stay at a place but who also appreciate the history of a house and the efforts of the owners to keep and maintain it.

The location of the hotel is good but a little hard to find , when there it was a fantastic hotel with great staff / owners and room was large with all amenities , great restaurant / bar area , good food ! Owner and staff go out of there way to assist you !

A bit noisy due to near the main road!

Very good local breakfast. Very friend staff and nice owner. We are very touched by the historical atmosphere maintained in that old house. High CP and worthy to stay in this hotel.
