Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI found the price a little high for a tent/ bamboo hut but considering the location and service it is fair. We also booked on short notice.
Very charming place in a perfect location right at the entrance of the national park. Wassana is super friendly and cooked free dinner for us and also helped us organise a tour according to our wishes on short notice.

GermanyNothing it was just great :)
It was amazing! We made such nice and adventure memories and would definitely come again :) it was one of the best experiences of our travel! :D And the best accomondation we had on our 4 month Trip! The place is close to the entrance of the national park and you will be in a cosy and green place. It's not so hot because of the shadow of the trees. THE TOURS WE DID : We did one tour (2day 1Night at the lake) and because it was so great we also did the camping tour (2day 1Night camping in the Dschungel) with bamboo cooking in the rain Forest. The second one was even nicer and we are so glad that we did it even if we had not much money any more! Just a amaaaaazing Adventure ! :) THE CAMP IT SELFE: Wassana and Khai are very friendly owner and help you with everything if you wanna have an amazing lake or Dschungel tour or other one, if you need transport to somewhere else or if you have other things. They cook amazing and make the camp feeling like family :) There is a kitchen where you can hang out with nice people if you want to. They have a campfireplace, showers...etc so basicly every thing you need. We actually wanted to stay 2 nights but we ended up with 6! :D If you want a pure Natur experience close to the Nationalpark, we defently reccoment you to go there. Thank you so much Wassana and Khai, hope we see you again :)

United KingdomWe did a group overnight tour to the lake and honestly it was ok at best, this was not Wassana's fault as it's a different company for the overnight lake tour but I think we would have been better doing the local half day/ evening tours. So yeah, do one of the local single day tours instead!!
Incredible place!! Rustic and if you're outdoorsy you'll love it! We slept in a tent and it was awesome. Food was really good and the family and people working here were the nicest. Definitely stay here, the tours are good prices.

ThailandWassana was the perfect host. She gave me an upgrade from tent to hut at no extra cost since it was low season. The dinner and breakfast were just right and suitable for vegetarians. I booked my overnight trip of the lake with her and she will organize everything for you. It s right next to the park entrance and a lot of eateries are just around the corner.

The breakfast was such a nice treat! Plus the family style dinner was delicious and a fun way to get to know other guests! The location couldn't have been closer to the National Park entrance either :)

The owners were amazing and very friendly. They even drove me to the bus station. When I arrived they told me that breakfast and dinner are included. The food (a lot of traditional ones) was very good. My tent was clean and I loved waking up to the sound of nature.

FranceHad a very good stay here, felt welcomed as we arrived. The hut was perfect for what we needed it for, delicious breakfast and dinner included. We booked the night safari with Wassana and had a great time, her daughter is amazing! They made us feel like family. Right next to national park entrance. We had also booked the overnight lake floating bungalow tour and very much enjoyed it. Note: if you are planning on booking 2 nights and want to just relax the second day and are sure this is your plan, just book the 2 nights before arriving. We were advised to pay for the second night at the lake and the staff wasn’t helpful/ became very rude to us when we asked about it so we ended up leaving after 1 night. This experience has nothing to do with Wassana, it was otherwise a great tour

RomaniaThe shower and toilet were very basic and I even skipped shower the first evening because wasps were flying in drawn by light. I only found out the last day that the second shower/toilet is newer and in a better state.
Mrs Wassana is absolutely amazing host. We rented a luxury tent for two, the tent was high enough to stand up and there was enough room for our backpacks too. The tours (1 day lake tour and half day jungle tour) as well as transport to Surat Thani were all organized by her and this was very convenient. Also, the price was fair. Mrs Wassana loves flowers and the campsite was decorated with planted and potted plants as well. Breakfast was always enough: coffee, eggs, toast some vegetables and fruits. When we left at 6.00 am in the morning, we received warm breakfast to go.

GermanyThe booked tour was very chaotic which made it quite dangerous but I’ve heard it depends on the guide and group size, might want to consider booking it elsewhere.
Had a good time, everyone is so nice and there is delicious food. Don’t expect too much comfort, it’s still camping but a great change of scenery from staying in hostels and really makes for the “jungle experience”

Loved our stay here, staff were very friendly and in the evening everyone had a few drinks and a fire - which was a good opportunity to meet others. Breakfast and dinner were included, great location - they also offer the 2 day 1 night tour which is helpful. Felt very safe for staying in a tent in the jungle which was brilliant

SwedenBreakfast wasn’t great, pre-arrival communication was difficult (we tried to pre-book a tour with them and they were not so responsive - best is to call them rather than email). Also, be sure you’re looking for a simple camping site and you won’t be disappointed.
It’s a cute little camping site with a fireplace, huts as well as tents, and shared (simple!) bathroom. Hosts Wassana and Khai are lovely and helpful. They offer various jungle tours.

United StatesThe lake and cave tours are a crapshoot. Get a poor guide, as we did, and things get weird. Others in our camp has great guides. So it goes.
The best thing about Wassana camp is the great family vibe. The property is a collection of old bungalows and tents. Don't expect plush comforts. But overall family vibe and sense of goofy fun trumps everything. This place is a gem, and so are Wassana and Khai, the hosts.

GermanyWe had an amazing three night stay at Wassana‘s and Khay‘s camp. The bungalows are simple but had enough space to comfortably store our two backpacks. The beds are thin Thai mattresses, so don’t expect your comfy hotel bed you might be used too ;). The camp is lovely built right into the jungle and if you’re lucky you get to see some lizards or large centipedes while sitting around the fire. They also provide a good breakfast and dinner for all guests and you can book ALL the tours directly with them. We really enjoyed the 1 day one-way trekking tour down the waterfall with Tin. Thank you 🙏
