I enjoyed the experience of staying at this unique place but a couple of inconveniences due to the location Shared bathroom quite a trek from the room. Wifi only in reception area. Couldn’t charge my phone overnight as when I turned off the light it cut off the electrical power to the room!

Cool cave hotel near the Star Wars location. Friendly staff

There were quite a few men drinking in one of the room near where I was served dinner one of who was showing very angrily, maybe the staff could have stopped him.

Extremely good value. Very good dinner and breakfast included (you can get beer as well). All the staff were really nice and very welcoming. Cave room was big. Whole place is kept nicely clean and tidy.

Wifi only in reception area, because of construction of hotel, this cant be changed. Badly fitting doors, could hear noise from other rooms. Mattress not so comfortable and not so warm, needed several blankets.

a UNIQUE place with very friendly helpful staff. A lot of food at dinner and breakfast.

The place is very unique with all the underground passages and the history behind it. The staff was very nice and explained to us how and why these kind of houses were built. Very good food and the reception. Thanks for everything.

Dinner and breakfast were ample, but not as traditional as some other places I've stayed in the area. I'd love to see bassisa/chemia and olive oil included. Our door latch inside didn't work, and the bathrooms are shared. But the experience is worth it! I would just recommend adding more traditional/local touches to the food offered.

Great location, authentic cave hotel, great experience! Dinner and breakfast were both included, making the stay easier. Very friendly staff, concerned that everything was OK and very accommodating.

This is an unique place and a very different experience. We slept in a very large room and it was very comfortable and warm even if that night was freezing outside. The owner and the staff make us feel very welcome. The dinner was absolutely amazing!

Beds weren’t super comfortable and no doors / locks ok showers. But as I said this place is more authentic, just know what you’re getting into and you’ll love it

Loved this place! I visited the 2 other main hotels in town and I am really glad we stayed here. If you’re looking for luxury or renovated place to stay this isn’t it. But it is by far more authentic than the other hotels, which is a win in my book. The staff were amazing, the food was good.

    The pillow was not comfortable.

Everything is really good. They provide a lot of food for you too which is always a bonus. The hotel is of course very unique and the temperature inside the rooms was comfortable even in December.

The WiFi was only available at the reception. Lots of flies they should cover the food. The only electric socket in the room was next to door and was high up, there was no place to keep my phone or battery right under it, so had to move the table to that spot blocking entry.

This place was near the bus station. They also provided free dinner and breakfast services. They also had an onsite bar. The staff was friendly and helped me sort out a private car for a tour of the nearby places.

It's a basic hotel, but then again, it was a lovely traditional Troglodyte Berber hotel.

It was lovely to stay in such an authentic unusual hotel. We had a car, so the location was a perfect stop to allow us to explore more of the south of Tunisia. The hotel staff were so accommodating and friendly. Nothing was a problem.

A perfect place would have a private bath for each room, but this is a cultural experience not a resort.

Even though the Wi-Fi was only available in the reception area and the underground rooms don’t have windows or ventilation, I give it a five star rating because it’s the real deal. They converted five individual troglodyte houses into one very large hotel. It’s the first place I’ve stayed That included dinner as well as breakfast and they were both extremely filling and delicious. The staff is so kind and helpful. I asked to borrow the fan from the bar all I slept, and that made all the difference.

The door to the shared bathroom needs fixing so that there's some privacy when you come out of the shower! Also it was often a bit smoky (cigarettes) in the reception area where the wifi was.

Really unusual and cool place to stay in a traditional troglodyte house. Friendly staff, good wifi in reception area, good breakfast. Comfortable bed in a huge room.

Beds are very rudimentary, stray dogs in the area bark at night bring ear plugs. Smell of urine in some areas outside the hotel. Breakfast is yogurt and muffins and bread. Rooms are underground so cool during the day but hot at night as there are no windows nor ac. They ONLY TAKE CASH... shared bathroom and showers. Not the cleanest.

In an ancestral periodite house. Very typical of the region. Staff go out of their way to be of service. Price is cheap and was perfect for us as transition from a desert tour to train station the next day. Very good coffee serves with warm milk Americano style. For us Americans ahahah
