How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The breakfast could be better.
Very nice small hotel. The staff was very friendly. The location very central in front of the river.

it is located centrally and easy to commute. The lake and food outlets and branded and Turkish is available till 12 or 1 at night. we didnt find andy safety issue while moving around at night
absolutely fine we enjoyed at the rooftop. The variety and taste of food are marvelous. with sufficient stock, The atmosphere is good and the best thing is that the weather was very pleasant

I liked the location it was close to the river and it was a lively neighborhood and very safe as well. The staff were delightful and I even got an upgrade, the breakfast was a buffet a selection of everything you would want in a breakfast...

Initially receptionist gave us room with one double-bed, but I ordered two single beds. I went back to reception and said can we get proper room, a girl answered 'impossible' without any explanation (her English wasn't very good). Then I told her that I rented room with two single beds, but she still told 'impossible' then I asked her to check booking reference number and only after she called somebody she gave us proper room.
The location is very good - it's city center, everything is very close. Breakfast is decent - nothing surprising, but enough to have energy until lunch. When we came to the parking (just chose random one) a man at the parking asked as at which hotel we stay, we answered this one and he said that the parking is free then, since they have agreement.

Besides everything positive, we were disappointed that internet was totally useless (to connect you needed staff to do it as it required several steps and then it wasn't working then 90% of time). staff didn't speak any English which is a small minus for this high class hotel and also breakfast, considering Turkish world famous breakfasts, was rather subpar and limited (after coming to Turkey for 8 years this was the first time ever where there was no yoghurt....)

The staff doesnt know English, so it will be difficult to understand with them. The room had some molde in the bathroom and in the room. They dont gave a parking and will send you to a one very close.

the room was really small, i have stayed here several times and this was so far the tiniest place. for just one night to get some sleep it is enough, for longer time and if I needed to get some work done, that would be too small

Everything was great we have no complains. A small suggestion: increase light in the room
We liked the location. İt was in the center of Eskişehir near Adalar and Porsuk. Breakfast was delicious and the view from terrace magnificent. The stuff was nice and helpful.

The staff doesn't speak any foreign languages. You need an account for the Internet. There isn't enough shampoo and soap in the bathroom.

Smelly room. Bathroom need to renovate. Showers good but floors & drains & other facilities need to be upgraded. Carpets old & dirty looking. Asked for a better room but front desk staff they are fully booked. We actually bought an air freshener so we can stay in this old room!

maybe slightly overpriced but that’s because of the ideal location.
everything was exceptional in my opinion! I managed to check in early without issue and they took care of my bags all day on the day I was checking out.

A bit of trouble with communicating in English, but manageable.
The hotel is located in the center, so you have an easy access to the stores, restaurants and the tram. The breakfast was very tasty with different options everyday. The room was cleaned everyday. The staff was very helpful.

the hotel is situated right beside the river. the view is amazing. Very many thanks to EGE!!! He made our stay really unforgettable! he helped us a lot providing hotspot through his own phone, since our suite nr.304 has no internet connection at all.
