Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNicely decorated and well maintained property with lots of soul. Exceptional value for money. Naz is a fantastic host that makes sure to make her guests feel welcome and comfortable. The best thing is to start off your day with a chat with Naz over the amazing breakfast spread she lays out for each of her guests. Me and my friend loved our stay here, and would come back in a heartbeat if we were ever to visit the Cappadocia region again❤️

SingaporeOne of the room has a flight of stairs. Might be a challenge for some, or those with bulky heavy luggage. Doors are comfortably wide though
Breakfast was great! Freshly prepared daily by the Host with some variety throughout the days we were there. On our day of checkout where we had to leave extra early, Host took effort to prep breakfast for us to take-away for our journey to the airport as well. 👍🏼

AustraliaI had to leave.
Everything. This was one of the best places we have stayed anywhere in the world. The rooms were delightful, beds comfortable, views were lovely, parking easy in fact everything was easy. The host (Naz) was wonderful (helping us book a balloon flights at a very competitive price. The breakfast was like a 5 star hotel (but tastier and fresher!) and the price was very fair. We did a lot of research before booking this place and are so glad we did. Do your own research, or just trust the other reviews…but don’t wait too long or this place will be gone!

My stay was truly wonderful, the place was very cozy and beautiful, it has spectacular views, the breakfast is delicious, very abundant. Naz's attention was of another level, always concerned that I was comfortable, she worried about my transportation to the airport, until the last minute she helped me when I had a problem on a tour and was worried that I would arrive at the airport on time. I really want to thank Naz for her generosity and human quality, I hope to be able to return one day!

CanadaThe property has character and style. It is designed to make you feel welcome and immersed in the culture of Turkey. The morning meal served by Naz was consistently excellent and enhanced with homemade Jams, pastries and stories. Naz goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and she takes time to go through maps of the area highlighting must see and do activities. Truly a memorable experience. Thank you Naz!

We didn't feel like staying in a hotel. It was more of a home away from home. Our host NAZ did everything and more than what she could and really took very good care. Wonderful place , calm and quiet neighborhood. If you really want to enjoy Cappadocia, please stay away from the crowded neighborhoods and stay near Avanos. Breakfast was yummy and awesome. Big spread of breakfast doesn't always satisfy but what's a sumptuous breakfast is the real one. Thanks Naz for your hospitality and care.

GermanyThere were a few minor things to note: initially, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, but the host helped us troubleshoot and get it working perfectly. The shower temperature control required some getting used to, but the host provided clear instructions that did the trick.
We recently stayed at Adanos Konuk Evi in Avanos for a week (from late March to early April 2024) and had a fantastic experience. The hotel offered all the amenities you'd expect from a comfortable 3-star stay. The highlight was the delicious breakfast, featuring daily egg dishes and fresh pastries prepared by the friendly host. What truly stood out was the warm hospitality. The host was incredibly approachable, friendly, and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere during breakfast when guests could chat and share experiences. We also loved having a kitchenette in our room, allowing us to prepare simple meals with groceries from the nearby market. The location was perfect! Adanos Konuk Evi is within walking distance of Avanos' famous pottery shops, making it a great base for exploring the town's artistic heritage. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently close to Evranos Restaurant, a popular spot for enjoying Turkish dances with a dinner course (around 50 EUR per person). With only four rooms, the hotel provides an intimate setting, allowing you to connect with other guests easily. We highly recommend Adanos Konuk Evi to budget-conscious travellers seeking a comfortable and friendly stay in Cappadocia. The value for money is unbeatable, especially considering its proximity to the more touristy Göreme area. Plus, the host speaks excellent English, making communication a breeze (via WhatsApp is a great option!). Overall, our stay at Adanos Konuk Evi contributed significantly to our unforgettable week in Cappadocia. Tips for future guests: Cash (Turkish Lira or Euros) is preferred by many restaurants and shops to avoid credit card fees.

United KingdomAlthough buses to other villages (Cavusin, Goreme, Uchisar) are reliable, it is only one bus every hour (probably will be more frequent in peak season). To go to Urgup, one needs to walk to the main bus station to catch the bus (25 mins). Although the riverside walk to the bus station is extremely pleasant, it is a bit time consuming to see Cappadocia relying on public transport. Next time I will definitely rent a car as the roads here are in very good conditions, and signposts very clear.
I enjoyed my 7 nights' stay with Naz at this wonderfully restored cave house in Avanos during my first visit to Cappadocia. My room is warm and very spacious, decorated tastefully with marine scenes. The house is on several levels and has several terraces / outdoor sitting areas. The top floor terrace provides a great place to sit and watch the famous sunrise balloon flights in Cappadocia. Naz is a superb hostess who is very communicative, telling me about the best way to reach the hotel as the historical road bridge is currently closed and under renovation. She provides me with valuable information regarding public transport options to visit the other villages in Cappadocia as I decided not to rent a car. Her recommendations regarding the best tours to join: e.g Green Tour - as it involves 200 km of driving distance, and that one really needs a tour guide to really appreciate the significance of the underground cities and monasteries; and the best way to organise a horse riding experience - There are plenty of horse ranches around Goreme, one could book a horse riding tour with the ranch directly rather than pay commission to tour operations in town. Naz's nutritious and beautifully presented home cooked breakfast is the highlight of my every morning! I can't thank Naz enough for my lovely experience in Cappadocia and I would definitely come back next year, as 7 days is not enough to see the beautiful and magical places of Cappadocia. Avanos is a really nice and pleasant village to say, people here are super friendly and helpful.
