The woman who runs it didn’t know we were coming but I think because her husband was traveling.

Quaint little B&B. Heat worked well in winter. Breakfast provided at a good price. Everything was fine.

The house is owned by an elderly husband and wife who are super kind and friendly. They made us feel really welcome and when we asked for a recommendation for dinner we ended up eating at the best restaurant we’ve been to this far in Turkey. The wife and her friend made a massive homemade breakfast for us. I was originally a little concerned about staying in someone’s home but they’ve found this great balance between “hotel” and “bed and breakfast”. Also loved the reading book they have upstairs equipped with novels and guidebooks among other genres

Friendly hosts, great breakfast, nice courtyard. I can also recommend Ali Baba's restaurant: good traditional Turkish food for good prices. Restaurant is around the corner.

The window in the room gave on the common space rather than outside. But no biggie.

The room was big, the bed was nice and comfy. Ali (the owner) is super nice. Very knowledgeable about carpets (and has a carpet store). He brought us to the right gate to visit Hierapolis in the morning. Very good value, and well located. 10 min walk from the train station. Nice common space with lots of plants and sofas.

There was no security lock on the door and no secure lockers.

The guesthouse is a family run place with friendly and helpful owners. The location is great, close to the main town centre, bus and train stations and all local attractions. Ephesus archaeological site is 3km walk away. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was tasty and there was plenty of çay to enjoy in the little courtyard. There was also no issue with leaving my bags for a few hours after check out. Overall a great place to stay!

Ali and his wife are great host. Because we need to leave at 8am. They came to make the breakfast early so that we can be on time. And the breakfast is all homemade, including the apricot jelly! Everything is delicious. Ali also owns a restaurant around the corner of the hotel. We had dinner there. Everything there is worth the value!

There was only soap for hand-wash and not a separate one for bathing. Which I found strange. The toilet also wobbled a bit.

The location was perfect. From the guesthouse, you could easily walk to the bus station, the train station or even explore all the museums and touristy places in Selcuk. Ali Baba was very friendly and accommodating. I forgot to inform him that I will arrive with the early morning bus, so I just messaged him on WhatsApp when I got to Selcuk. He was quick to reply and welcomed me in with a ready room. He offered to drive me and another guest to Efes. Not only did he do so, but he also dropped us at the North gate, so we explored while walking downhill to the South gate (it's important to note that otobus comes to the South Gate, so this was extremely helpful and convenient for us). The room was clean and big. I was able to use the AC, which was a big comfort for the summer. The breakfast was good too.
