Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

KazakhstanWell, I believe rooms need to be renovated. It was quite a while when the renovations happened. Also, the entrance to the sea is very stony and it is very uncomfortable to enter the sea. But if you have special slippers for swimming it might help. Suggestion: to reduce single-use plates and cups to make the hotel more sustainable. It will also help to reduce the waste. Thank you!
First of all, I'd like to thank all staff at the Amara Luxury for making our stay enjoyable. Food was good and we enjoyed different options of food, snacks, and drinks. Cleanliness: room cleaning was everyday; the hotel and its territory are very clean. Entertainment: there are different entertainment activities available for kids and adults. In addition, the hotel invites TOP performers for the evening shows. There are two nice swimming pools and own beach. Each employee at the hotel is doing their best to make guests' vacations comfortable and enjoyable. Yes, as other comments highlighted, the guests predominantly are Russian speaking, but for us it was not a problem at all. People come from different places including East Europe, Germany, Central Asia, and Türkiye and they were really nice and friendly.

RussiaHowever the beach was terrible because of stones. There were many big stones in the sea, so it was dangerous to walk. Plus the pier was closed, and must be renovated! It was not in the same as in pictures. By the way I visited this place on first week of May 2024.
It was nice holiday, enjoyed together with friends.

GermanyCan be a bit loud at nights if you are going with kids, we enjoyed it though.
Great 5 star hotel with beautiful view on both mountains and the sea. It looks exactly like the picture and is stunning. We were a bit off season which means less people were in the hotel than normally, otherwise might get a bit crowded, keep that in mind. Private beach is small, but very clean, shore is rocky, so swimming boots are helpful. Water is clean and warm, perfect for a refreshing swim. If your partner likes fishing, also can recommend. Hotel territory is massive, always a great walk around. Food is very tasty, grilled options vary and always taste great. Alcohol is local and therefore might not be for everyone, I would advise to go for wine and sparking wine or beer. There is a 24/7 snack options which is good for late check in/out. Personal thanks to all the kitchen staff and special one to the lady responsible for the eggs station, she made our vacation better multiple times. Animation team is wonderful and very dedicated - always fun and relaxed with them. Big heartfelt thanks to Tuna and Emru for the Darts and volleyball challenges, Emru for aqua aerobics and everyone else for ensuring we are always having a great time.

SwitzerlandThe shower was very used and needed some renovation, the bathtub was in great condition though. The food was great for this price, but it could use a little more flavour.
The value we got for this price was amazing. Guest relations exceeded our expectations, Margarita did an outstanding job.

United KingdomJust a few minor things. The pier was not as shown on Booking.com. There were no facilties at the hotel for cash. There was an ATM at the top of the road outside the hotel, but on two out of three occasions, it was not working. As we found out, Cash is still 99% king in Turkey and necessary to have. On a light note, The Irish Bar was not very Irish. I was so looking forward to having a glass of Guiness, listening to Irish music and seeing Irish decorations. No Irish beer, American lounge music and Russian paintings on the wall. Please note: none of these things spoilt the time we had. We had an amazing and fantastic time.
The food was excellent. The quality and variation of food was amazing. The hotel was superb and it's facilities mostly were brilliant. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. In particular Margarita, Eduardo and Katya. The children entertainments were excellent and the dance acts in the amphitheatre were very enjoyable. The spa was superb. We had a wonderful week. Just wish it was a longer stay.

United Arab EmiratesNo room service capabilities. They have some rules requesting to give a towel card to receive towels to manage their inventory probably. If you forget the card the staff would not be helpful The AC was not strong but maybe due to the season
The view was amazing, food fresh and Margarita from customer relations was super useful helping us. The hotel is far from Antalya but it is much better with the mountain and sea scenery . I don’t like all inclusive resorts but this one was good with very fresh food . The sea is super clean but with stones no sand

AustriaThe worst part of the stay was _not_ avoiding the rancorous shouting of the fitness instructor accompanied by k-pop techno-beats over the PA system by the pool, ostensibly providing the 20 or so water-calisthetic participants escape from peace and quiet while they embarrass themselves in front of the rest of the vacationers, but the entertrainment bunnies repeatedly shouting "show-time" for the hours between dinner and the evening's entertainment.
This luxurious hotel boasted over 7 buffets and specialized eateries, featuring an overwhelming variety and quantity and presentation of food, more than compensated by an underwhelming lack of taste and freshness. Perhaps had I not acquired a microscopic organizism during my stay, I would have had an additional 3 days to find food that satiated my pallet without expanding my waste.

Hotel room was nice, plenty of space. Really great view from the room. Bathroom had shower and bath. Hotel is really big so a lot of walking from the room to the pool, it didn't bother us. Lovely big pool. Many activities possible. Great staff. Food was good, you could find lots of different options.

IraqThe slotted shading on kids' pool (shown in property pictures) was removed. Our two years old would have appreciated some shading to make his pool experience more enjoyable.
They upgraded our room to a villa upon check-in. This a very nice gesture from the reception staff as we had plenty of space and privacy.
