Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Netherlands- the room was missing some of the facilities that we would consider necessary for a comfortable stay: a shelf in the shower, a drying rack outside of the bathroom or a warm drying rack in the bathroom (otherwise nothing gets dry in there) - one of the two bedside lamps did not work properly (it was blinking) - the other bedside lamp was too dim to be able to use it for reading a book in bed - the bathroom ventilation was pretty loud and it switched on/off simultaneously with the light, so either you had to shower in the dark or with the loud sound on - the cord of the hair dryer in the bathroom had some mold on it, so I would say the bathroom ventilation was not powerful enough, despite being loud - it was allowed to smoke in all areas for the breakfast, so if all corners of that area were occupied with smokers, we had to put up with the smoke smell
- super friendly staff who were always ready to try and fulfil our extra requests - small hotel -> few other guests -> quiet - great location: historical downtown, <10 min walking from the sea - the room had many of the features necessary for a comfortable stay: AC, WiFi, bed, table, chair, window, power sockets, bedside lamp, kettle, bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and mirror - the room's floor was made out of stone (pleasant to touch)

United Arab EmiratesThe bathroom needs some redesign as the entire bathroom gets wet when showering. It is more a wet room than a bathroom. The kitchen do not really have much utensils and can do with some additional glasses, cups, plates. Additional toilet paper, towels will be good to have.
Centrally located in a quiet area of the old city, this is a value for money accommodation. The hosts are friendly and helpful with lots of tips on how to save money. The room is spacious, and 2 can easily sleep in comfort. The breakfast was good, and we had the option to sit outside in the courtyard enjoying tea and coffee.

IrelandThe room offered to us was not upto the mark. There was no internet connection, the door was not locking properly. On raising an issue they immediately shifted us to a better room. I suppose these issues should have been evaluated first before allotting rooms to guests.
The location. It gives you the perfect vibe of the city Antalya . The host was very good, cooperative and accommodating

IndiaHad to climb stairs with our luggage. There was loud music playing outside at night.
The staff were friendly and nice. Helped with all our requests and needs. The location was decently central in Old Town Antalya but hard it is near a dead end street. Breakfast had a decent selection. Room was decent.

LuxembourgThe heating consists of an air conditioner that doesn't warm up the whole apartment, especially the bathroom. It would have been nice to have some more closets (with shelves) in the room, we only had a wardrobe without shelves and some drawers. The breakfast room often had a smell of smoke, it seemed staff were smoking in the kitchen. We tried to pay by card several times and we were always asked to rather pay in cash even though the card terminal was visibly there and working. As we did not want to incur all the charges of withdrawing cash, we insisted on paying by card, and, for the third attempt, we were able to do so. It would have been nice if we could have avoided this unnecessary negotiation... An additional point to note is the terribly loud music coming from a nearby bar/club which we could hear every night from 9 p.m. to 2-3 a.m. This is not the fault of the property though, they are already taking measures and working with the municipality to tackle this problem.
The location couldn't be better and the staff is a bunch of incredibly kind people. The breakfast offers a great variety of tasty Turkish dishes, prepared by the staff every morning.

United KingdomWe could hear the Adhan (call to prayer) from a minaret close by, which woke us up at 6am, but we soon got back to sleep again. I suspect you will not avoid this wherever you stay in Kaleici. We actually got used to it and didn't wake up by day 3
Check in was swift and everything was explained to us with regard to wifi and breakfast times. The room was on a high floor (as I requested) but no lift, which was no surprise as this is the Old Town. This wasn't a problem for us. The room was quite large and the bed was really comfortable. I loved the bed! The shower was good, although you could smell the drains a little in the mornings, but as soon as you ran the water again it went away. This is to be expected I suppose in a building this old. The breakfast was Turkish style with lots of choices. I think it would cater to most tastes. Lots of good places to eat and drink nearby. The location was pretty perfect for us!
