How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I don't really know what I expected but it definitely just wasn't this. I mean, the hotel is on the side of what feels like a motorway and just pretty much in the middle of nowwhere. We were attending a friends wedding in the very grand hotel/spa next door and stayed here to save some money. It did the job... clean, simple and cheap. But just generally the area and the situation of this hotel isn't great - but I suppose it depends what you need it for. If you are travelling for work, and just need simple night stay somewhere, it'll do the job, but if you are looking for fabulous location with views, its definitely not. Oh, breakfast, meh for me personally. I am a fussy eater to be fair, but there was no coffee (a must for me in the mornings) and just a bit limited on what was put out.
Staff super lovely helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful to us!

The Lion City Hotel is very close to Bursa central with metro and bus stop right across the road, Centrally located the only thing i would suggest is the hotel having a safe in the rooms

No tea or coffee in bedroom. Tv need to be smart. Door panel was broken. Hotel overall need to be updated.

toilet was not maintained. there was a damp smell despite of re cleaning so I think there is repair issue just cleaning will not be enough to rectify this problem. room was Better cleaned but again some maintenance work needs to be done. the room was on top floor May be this is the reason.

The location of the hotel in front of main road. The noise of cars is always in the hotel

All good!
We enjoyed the location, it’s great to explore Bursa on foot! The hotel is comfortable, staff is lovely and they even offer free coffee and tea. Breakfast was amazing, huge selection! They even offered us a free room upgrade, which we appreciated. Free parking was also available. Good experience!

location was on main road. the rooms had a damp smell to them. beds was uncomfortable. and bathroom had a bad stench from it. we only stopped here for an hour and checked into another hotel instead. was not refunded our money back.

the room was extremely dirty - floor, windows, bathroom. The towels were torn, the wardrobe and the table were broken. In the photos the room looked very good, but the reality is not like that

The hotel looks good outside but inside it has old and dirty furniture - poorly cleaned. Fridge is not working. Be aware of the busy street, there is traffic all night, very loud even with windows closed.
The staff is very helpful, trying their best but shame on owner. They have a free parking and valet at the entry.
