Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing is professionally managed. Especially poor cleaning
I visited the property off-peak season for a night. Thus, facility is ok comparing what I paid. But it is not a holiday hotel. If I spend much in peak season, potentially I will complain.

GreeceThe room lock was broken, it could hardly be opened even by the employee that escorted us to our room. The windows had nets to prevent insects from entering the room, which was only the second good thing about the room. Other than that, the windows were not clean and one of the curtains was hanging haphazardly. The beds were old, the sheets had holes and there was no sheet between whomever slept on the bed and the blanket on top. Worst of all was the restroom. The only good thing about it was the fact that there was hot or warm water, if needed. Other than that, it was awful. The shower curtain was half hanging half taken off its rings ready to fall, ripped and torn. There was nothing on the floor to prevent water from leaving the shower and flooding the restroom but the drain, and nothing to prevent somebody from slipping and falling. The toilet seat was not totally broken but its hinges were barely in place. The absolutely worst thing imaginable, however, was that there was no bathroom window or ventilator in any of the rooms the staff showed us to, when we asked if there was another room available. One of them in fact had a small window in the restroom which, unbelievably, was made into wall! It was covered with cement! Plus, everything in the bathroom was rusty or mouldy or chipped. The nightmare of a tourist was completed if we take into account the fact that the air conditioner started dripping on my bed and the floor next to it during our second day of stay, the terrible condition of the premises, unkempt, dirty and shabby, plus the fact that the pool water didn't seem to be refreshed and cleaned (I took the risk to swim, will update if anything happens due to that). It isn't worth the money we paid. We should have known the moment we noticed that even the markee at the entrance was in terrible condition and that the reception was the same place as the pool bar.
Window nets against insects, warm water, air conditioning.

New ZealandAC was pointless and struggled to get it fixed/one of the rules is no less than 22C. Seems silly as was so hot and room next to the road. Rather pay an extra 1 euro and have a working one!
Great clean pool. Decent price. Cheap places to eat and supermarkets near by. Bus to bodrum right outside and then to the rest of the beaches from a 10 minute walk (Oasis).

United KingdomI knew what I was getting when I booked the place, there wasn’t any nasty surprises. I couldn’t get the app to work on my phone for ordering food but I just asked them in the morning - easy fix. The room I had was medium sized but it was large enough for all my belongings many times over and I was happy with it.
I was a solo traveler that stayed the week and I had a fantastic time; the staff were amazing and genuinely made my trip so much better - they’re super friendly and put in the effort speaking with you (They spent alot of time teaching me Turkish and Kurdish and it enhanced my trip so much), go and say hi to them! “Rose bash” (English way of saying it) is good morning so go chat to them and say hi! they helped me find my way around bodrum, to getting a SIM card and helped me look for my phone when I lost it. They were the heart and soul of my trip and I am very grateful for them. Food was nice, I had an omelette nearly every day and for a good price too. Mert, Dinyor, Ahmet, Jerhat, Samet we’re the people I seen and spoke with the most and they just 100%. ( sorry if I spelt your names wrong!) It’s located in a very cute alcove with traditional stone laying the way, it has a very clean pool area with an active bar and kitchen right in the front. It genuinely was exceptionally clean, even the rooms and the showers were clean and well looked after. powerful air conditioning in the room. it’s situated in the perfect place to explore all the hotspots in bodrum, to the right was a direct path to the beach and main club area, to the left was shops and an entire strip of entertainment; this place is perfect if you’re going to be out exploring, entertaining yourself and then coming back to a very safe and well looked after retreat with a quieter street compared to those hotels actually on the main line which is 24/7. No wild cats or dogs having a go at each other or fighting which I think I seen in another review hahah. I even spoke to Hamza who runs the hotel and from top to bottom they’re all lovely people who care for their guest. I had a double bed and it was very spacious and got a good night sleep. As Turkey can be very light compared to the UK at night so I’d recommend bringing a sleeping mask for the best experience.
