Unfortunately on my last night, there was a fire in the Main Hotel and a lot of damage. I appreciate this is a rare occurrence; however, there were no instructions to us on evacuating the property, which made things very scary. I relied on my fellow travellers to relay information, and then we were told to leave. And we had 2 minutes to do so before the fire reached our building with the high winds. We had nowhere to go, so I found myself out in the streets of Kaleci at 4 a.m. with my luggage, not knowing what to do. Luckily, I had friends in the area who came and helped us and gave us a bed for the night. I flew home the next day, so I have no idea how much damage was done to the central hotel, but my local friends advised it was pretty bad. So, if you are staying in the central hotel/apartments, please inform yourself of the fire evacuation procedure or ask if there is one and where the meeting point is. I appreciate these incidents are very rare; however, Turkey does not seem as strict on H&S as we do in the UK! Also, I booked for two people, but when I arrived, I was told I had booked for one person only, which I knew was incorrect. I had proof of my booking, and I was asked to forward both our IDs to the hotel before arrival, which I did. However, they still charged me 300 euros for the extra person, which I didn't need and would not budge on this! It made this a very expensive stay. If you want a sunbed by the pool, it's the usual sunbed fight and frustratingly, people would have towels on their beds for most of the day but not be there. However, there are no sun umbrellas for shade by this pool, but it does get some shade throughout the day. My advice during high season if you are having a pool day is to pick your spot wisely and get up early!

This is a really lovely hotel with separate apartments in the neighbouring street. I stayed in an apartment. It was a good size and had all the facilities you needed. My front door was out onto the narrow cobbled streets of Kaleci, and my bedroom door overlooked the patio area and near the small pool. But it was incredibly quiet. And it was very pretty. There is also a small bar by the pool; you can order great food throughout the day. The location is great. I have been coming to Antalya for a few years now and it's the most central place you can book. It's handy for bars/restaurants/shops and public transport/taxis.

Housemaid never came to clean up our apartment. After the first night we saw a button on the wall to call a housemaid (we weren’t told about it at the reception), but noone came to us again. And the shower leaked to the floor of the bathroom, so it was always wet there, that is rather uncomfortable

A very beautiful flat with modern design in the best location if you don’t come for a beach. The inside garden is amazing, it was a great pleasure to have a quick breakfast there

The ‘serenity pool’ was meant to be for over 16 year olds only but there were lots of children (5 - 10 year olds) there. Despite the rules being on display, the staff didn’t enforce them in anyway. The 5am call to prayer was a surprise on our first night! Luckily, we had earplugs so it wasn’t a problem for the rest of our stay.

The apartment was stylish and clean with modern fittings and excellent air con! It’s in the old town so away from the noise of the main strip but within walking distance from it.
