Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Hi everyone, I checked into the hotel around 22:15. There were 2 people at the reception and they said 'wait a bit, there is no officer right now'. So I went to the cafe part to sit and have a coffee. There were 2-3 tables in the cafe. There were 2 people in the bar and they said 'we turned off the machine'. I went back to reception cause i looked no one interested about me. The officer made the check-in, took the payment, and sent me to the room. The temperature of the room was good, but the insulation was bad. There's a lot of noise coming in. The beds have collapsed in the middle, your back hurts a little. There was hot water but the shower head was broken. Cleaning was good. Do not expect anything from the employees, they are all very sullen and uninterested. Good morning, Welcome, Goodbye etc. things don't exist. They are not looking at your face, everyone is looking ahead, maybe they are looking at their phones!? The breakfast is very poor. You can sit without a mask in the Breakfast Hall, but you have to wear a mask when you go to have breakfast in the same hall!? I think the chef scolded me before I even said 'good morning'. What a rudeness!!! Even the people at the reception did not notice that I left the room key, they were all looking in front of them. The only person who treated me well and took care of me was Mr. Gabrail at the cafe. Thanks again to him. If I come again, will I stay? I'm not sure. Because even though everything is very good, I can't stand rudeness! Please don't do what you don't like...
