Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaParking was a bit confusing and conflicts sometimes with loading and offloading of ferry
The host was exceptional and most friendly, I came as a stranger left as a friend. Breakfast was excellent I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get to know the locals and does not want the typical cookie cutter accommodations. I will be back at some time to renew my friendship with the Owner

IndiaWonderful location, wonderful breakfast, and such a kind and gracious host in Resat Bey. One of the high points of our trip to Turkey, and probably the place we felt most at home and welcomed, in a country that was extremely welcoming and kind. Thank you so much for hosting us.

AustraliaIt’s closeness to the Gallipoli peninsula and the ANZAC sites, 15min drive, that we wanted to drive around and explore. Resat, our host, made us very welcome and his house is adorned with memorabilia from his many years of naval service. This was an excellent complement to our ANZAC pilgrimage. The breakfast was sensational and the property has a third floor common lounge that has expansive views across the Dardanelles Strait. We enjoyed the warmth, welcome and growth that came from straying here. We would recommend this place to Aussies or Kiwis doing an independent Gallipoli visit.

RomaniaReşat bey is a wonderful person! He takes care of the pension by himself, every morning preparing that wonderful breakfast shown in the pictures. Rooms might be small for some but are clean and have private bathrooms with all the amenities that you need...I will definitely recommend the place to all my friends and is my permanent choice in Canakkale. 1 minute from the ferry, nice fish restaurants near by. 15-20 minutes by boat to Canakkale.

AustraliaNothing!!
Goodness - where to start! Reşat the owner, what a GEM - such a wonderful host! It is worth staying here just to meet him! Room - very comfortable and homely! We were in captains cabin top floor - the view of the Dardenells was amazing! Breakfast out of this world! Located opposite Canakkale but 12 or so ferry ride is all it takes to be in Canakkale and if you are there to visit Gallipoli you are on the right side of the water! I would recommend to stay here !

RomaniaEverything was simply amazing.
We absolutely loved this property and its owner. The house is amazing, it is like living in a museum (in a very good way). We even got a room upgrade to the second floor where the view was simply amazing. For breakfast, Reșit bey arranges everything in a very nice way. His breakfast is LEGENDARY. We are looking forward to coming back to this property. Thank you for everything!

ItalyIn our room the curtains were made of a very light color and this was a little issue in the morning as the sun was coming in and lighting up the room.beside this, nothing!
The pension is extremely nicely decorated and the owner is very friendly. Our room and bathroom were cleaned and well equipped. The breakfast is worth to be mentioned as it was abundant and full of home made preparations, delicious!

RomaniaIt is a lovely, nicely arranged place, with an amazing breakfast and a very welcoming host. The rooms are small and fairly clean - you will find that there is enough space to keep your belongings in order. The bed is comfy and big (but if you are taller than 1.95, you might have some issues when stretching 😁). The fact that it is close to the ferry and also close to many tourist attractions, helps a lot.

SerbiaLiked it all.
The house and the en suite double room were fantastic, beutifyll and comfy. The breakfast is very varied and maticoulosly served. The owner Captain (Ret.) Reşat is very friendly and welcoming. Recomend highly! The common seating room on the third floor boosts fantastic vews on Dardanele and Cnakkale. The house is buetifly decorated in a marice style, most of it Captain Reşat navy insignia and memorabilia. Great! The pansion is few steps from the feery to Cananakkal, goes each hour till around 22/23, the last return is at 23:30. The cost of the 30' ferry ride is only half an euro one way per person. There is a safe parking for a bike or a car. Cameras are on too. Safe and interesting neigbourhood, with restaurants, a fortress and a camp site with excelent beach in a pine forest. All WW1 memorial sites are half hour away. Briliant place to stay with a most wonderfull host!

United KingdomI cannot think of any fault. I would highly recommend this hotel to adults and older children travelling on a budget who appreciate a genuine local experience.
Our host, Resat, is a retired Naval officer, and speaks good English. He was very helpful in so many ways - no request was too much - he helped arrange a driver to take me to one of the nearby WW1 war graves, and he also helped to return a pair of expensive trainers to our hotel in Istanbul. What a kind man. The hotel is very convenient for the local ferry service which connects to Canakkale, and Eceabat is a short taxi drive for Gallipoli tours, restaurants etc. Rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was superb - the Full Turkish.

RussiaThe room is indeed very small - I mean, there was not enough space even for our luggage (the same goes with the bed - too small for two adults). In the evening there could be a traffic jam on the only road leading to the property (because of the queue to the ferry located nearby). The could be issues with the public parking for the car.
One of the most bright memories from our trip to Turkey. The owner - a former captain - maintains an impeccable property to the highest standards. Also, he is a very interesting person to talk to. On the third floor there is a common space, ideal for the ship-spotting in the Dardanelles (especially at night), there is even a huge binocular for that. The breakfast could not be better. Overall, the property is full with small details and memorabilia, which makes it more similar to a museum (in a good sense).
